Annual General Meeting of the SBI Pensioners Association

Chandigarh Circle held on 02.12.2018Respected Members,

As mentioned above, our Annual General Meetingwas a grand success. The meeting was presided byour worthy Chief General Manager Rana AshutoshKumar Singh Ji and also attended by our respectedDy. General Manager & CDO Sh. D.B. Singh.

The programme started with the playing of a krishanbhajan on flute by one of our pensioner member Sh.Preetam Chandel. For the first time in the history ofour Circle Association, two doyen's of the workingunions and pensioners associations i.e. SBI PensionersFederation's General Secretary & Convener of CBPROSh. Ramesh Babu and Sh. Sanjeev Bandlish, GeneralSecretary of SBI Staff Federation & NCBE andConvener of UFBU, participated in the meeting. Sh.Deepak Sharma, General Secretary of SBI Officers'Association and Sh. Parmod Indel, General Secretaryof SC/ST Welfare Association of the Chandigarh Circlealso attended the meeting. S/Sh. Ramesh Babu andSanjeev Bandlish, apprised the present audience ofSBIPA Chandigarh Circle, about the latestdevelopments in the Banking Industry. Since pensionersdemands are being taken with IBA in the XIth B.P.S.,we are very grateful to UFBU leadership in generaland Sh. Bandlish in particular. We do hope that in thetime to come when the talks of XIth B.P.S. are held,this leadership would also take up with the Govt./IBA/Bank regarding our pending demands of 100% D.A.neutralization of pre-2002 retirees, 30% pension to theFamily Pensioners and updation for the retiring/retiredpensioners of the banking industry alongwith othermiscellaneous demands which includes the medicalschemes of the Bank/Govt.

The audience present in the meeting applauded theirleaders' speeches & were encouraged/optimistic by theassurances given by our revered leadership mentionedabove. Really, it was great honour for SBIPA, ChandigarhCircle to have all these above mentioned dignitariessitting together on the same dais.

I, on behalf of our Circle Association of SBIPA thankall our guests who honoured us with their participationand information provided to the members. Our ChiefGuest & Chief General Manager, Chandigarh CircleSh. Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh Ji also spoke on theoccasion and appreciated the arrangements of themeeting. Sh. Singh also emphasized all the employeesworking and retired to adapt to Bank's "YONO" Schemefor which a special lecture was delivered by Sh. J.K.Bhutani, AGM at L.H.O. as desired by our worthyChief General Manager.

The meeting was attended by approximately 400members from whole of the Circle i.e. from Punjab,

Haryana, J&K, Himachal Pradesh & tricity ofChandigarh. Sh. T.R. Gupta, our General Secretarywas about to deliver his annual report and presentationof accounts i.e. Income & Expenditure of theAssociation for the year 2017-18, the members presentthereat approved the above with voice-vote andappreciated the Circle Association of the SBIPensioners in running their activities in a verydisciplined and systematic manner. When the eventwas over, the members were invited for Lunch at theOfficers' Mess of Chandigarh L.H.O.

30 members of the above 75 years of age of ourCircle Association were also honoured with presentation

of Shawls. We wish all of them a healthy and long life.

JIND UNIT (HARYANA)

Our Jind Unit organised their monthly meeting at

Hotel Utsav on 06.12.2018 at 11.00 a.m. A camp

for the downtrodden persons was arranged thereat

for the provision of lunch to them. It was a very

noble cause which we appreciate very much and

our all the best for their future such types of camps.

The Annual Elections were held for the year 2018-

19 and the below mentioned members were elected

MANDI UNIT (H.P.)

Our Mandi unit organised their monthly meeting

on 12th December, 2018 at Baggi near

Sundernagar. Two minutes silence was observed

on the sad demise of our pensioner member Sh.

Rajiv Singh Rana and son of Sh. D.S. Thakur,

Shimla.

The unit's elections for 2018-19 were also held

under the Chairmanship of Sh. K.K. Gupta. The

The monthly meeting of our Gurdaspur Unit was

held on 30.11.2018. S/Sh. Avtar Singh Bhalla and

Santosh Kumar Bhardwaj, who have crossed their

platinum jubilee i.e. attainment of 75 years of age,

were honoured with beautiful gifts. In the

photograph, both our members are receiving their

gifts. Well done our this unit and wish long life to

our these two pensioners.
