Halloween Disco: 21st Oct 3-5pm
ACTION: Use class WhatsApp group to ask for helpers to face paint and run lucky dip.
Bag2school: 1st November 2017 and 22nd March 2018
ACTION: Mr Ives to be informed of set up. Need volunteer to collect bags on day.
Christmas Fayre : Friday 8th December 3-5pm Parish Hall
ACTION: Helpers needed, Marie to run event.
ACTION: Ask parents from each year group to run a stall eg.Hook a reindeer, year 1, Pull a cracker Year 2, if no volunteers for a stall then it gets left out of Fayre.
Donation day – For Chocolate Tombola – TBC Gift Day: Friday 15th December 9-11am School Hall

Committee’s Report for PTA AGM meeting 13th September 2018
This year our PTA has been successfully lead by a small team of committee members and a treasurer. The team have effectively shared the decision-making process and worked closely with one another to raise much needed funds for our school.
It will be clear from the treasurer’s report that this has been yet another successful year.
Our PTA is well known for its packed calendar of events, this year was no different. We have hosted a variety of social events such as disco’s and bingo nights. Non-profit events like gift day and the Easter egg hunts. Community profile raising events such as the May Fayre on the Green. Fun sponsored pan-cake flipping. As well as our major events like our Christmas and Summer Fayres.
The biggest event of our PTA calendar is our Summer Fayre, it is our largest fund raiser and yet again was a huge success. This is held on a Sunday afternoon for the whole parish and sees our playground transformed into a bustling fayre ground, with tombolas, fayre games and international food stalls. We are so lucky at St Catherine’s to have such a diverse community and have so many tasty treats on offer thanks to the kindness of our parents. Thank you to everyone involved in this years summer Fayre whether you set up stalls, baked, cooked, served, ran a stall, performed, tidied up or just came along and gave your support.
Being part of the PTA is an extremely rewarding opportunity. Seeing the delight on the children’s faces when they find their Easter egg or watching the determination on their faces as they try to beat their pancake flipping personal best makes all the hard work worthwhile. Whether your skills are wrapping gifts, pouring drinks, face painting or cooking. There are a wide variety of things you can do to get involved.
Looking ahead to this year. We already have several exciting events pencilled in the diary, a treasure hunt, a bingo night with Italian cuisine and a Halloween disco. We are very keen to hear new ideas and hopefully gain new members so that we can keep our PTA thriving and achieve our aim of raising funds for all our children.
The committee would just like to take this opportunity to thank all the many companies who have supported our PTA this year either by donating prizes, days out, loaning equipment, giving time, sharing skills and free produce. We really couldn’t do it without your kindness and generosity.
We would also like to thank all the parents, families and staff who have participated in our events throughout the year. You have all been so generous with your donations and your time. We really couldn’t make it happen without you.

Ways we raise moneyand provide support
