Mr. Ng Yue Chow (nicknamed as Uncle ) has been serving our music
department
for 15 years. He is a committed conductor and instrumental
instructor of greatmusical talent. The brilliant and striking
development of our Chinese orchestra in
the recent years is justifiably attributed to his conscientious
and painstaking work.
Being a staff member outside our school establishment, Mr. Ng
cannot enjoy all the
fringe benefits like the other teachers. He just earns enough
money to make ends
meet. Since diagnosed with cancer of advanced stage last summer,
he has beenundergoing continual medical treatments, such as
electrotherapy and target therapy.They have been effective but
unaffordable to him, and have almost depleted his
meagre savings and stopped him from working.
In appreciation of his definite contributions to the edification
of Wahyanites, I
would like to appeal to all students, alumni, parents, teachers
and friends of WahYan College HK to give Mr Ng financial support
while he is fighting bravely for
survival. It is with this objective that the Music department
and the Music Societywill stage our Annual Concert 2012 in
dedication to him. Please order admission
tickets or simply make donations by filling in the attached
ticket order form. All proceeds from the event will go to Mr. Ngs
ad hoc bank account. May the spirit of
Wah Yan One Family be substantiated in this good cause.
