Of Martha Cove
The new club will complement this unique world class marina and
residential complex.
As you are aware, now that the Martha Cove location is well on
the way to completion, there is a need for a Boating Club to bring
together the yacht,
powerboat, community together to provide a world class Boating
Club.
Martha Cove has all the ingredients for a fantastic Boating
Club. These include:
• A world class safe harbour• An amazing village atmosphere
• State of the art Boatyard facilities

Martha Cove Yacht Squadron MISSION STATEMENT
The aim To charter a new yacht and motor boat Squadron at the
Southern end of Port Phillip Bay based at Martha Cove.
MissionTo provide a squadron which fosters and promotes inshore
and offshore racing, sailing, cruising, events and training
activities for its members.
To be seen as an organisation of which its members are proud,
and which is responsive to member’s views.
To be regarded as amongst the best nautical organisations in the
State of Victoria and Nationally.
To partner and form alliances with other clubs, squadrons and
organisations to promote mutual interests and enhance member
opportunities.
To be achieved by -• Utilising the opportunities that Martha
Cove
offers the nautical fraternity• Being a club of like-minded
people and families,
which caters for diverse nautical interests• Being managed and
operated by elected
representatives at all levels• Maintaining ‘state of the art’
facilities,
systems and governance• Being seen as welcoming, inclusive
and professionally run • Encouraging and teaching new and
existing members • Fostering training by the sharing of
member
and other knowledge and expertise
To this end – We call on all Martha Cove boat owners, crew,
first mates and Martha Cove residents and families to join and
support the new Martha Cove Yacht Squadron.

The Martha Cove Yacht Squadron is being established for all
residents and boat owners of Martha Cove.
As residents and boat owners, the Club will provide –
• A meeting place for members of the new Club to make the most
of being part of this world class complex.
• For yacht owners to meet together, sail together and race
together in Port Phillip Bay.
• For power boat owners to meet together and also plan
activities together.
• For residents who do not have a boat, the Club will provide a
range of activities that will provide the opportunity to join in
the social activities of the Club.
The Martha Cove Yacht Squadron (MCYS) will provide a club
atmosphere and management that will match the high quality and
professionalism of the Marina Martha Cove, Hidden Harbour, Boatyard
Martha Cove and the wonderful village being developed in Martha
Cove.
You will be proud to be a member of this Club as it will become
one of the great boat clubs in Port Phillip Bay.
This is a unique opportunity for boat owners and residents to
join this new Club at Martha Cove with:
• An absolutely safe harbour.
• A fantastic residential complex.
• The new Martha Cove Village.
• The most modern boatyard facilities for your boating
requirements.

FOUNDATION MEMBER DETAILS
The Foundation Committee has been formed, the Club has been
registered and the name approved.
It is the intention of the committee to issue Foundation
Membership to the first 100 members.Full membership is not
available at this time but will be announced in the near
future.Foundation Membership is available now for interested
people.The cost of becoming a Foundation Member will be deducted
from the price of full membership when full membership applications
open.
Foundation Membership package will include:• MCYS embroidered
Foundation Member polo shirt and cap• Further benefits of joining
as a Foundation Member will be announced• MCYS Burgee (club flag).•
Foundation Member certificate.• Members will always retain
Foundation Membership.• MCYS Foundation Membership will be
available until April 5 2019, or until 100 Foundation
Members have joined.• MCYS Foundation Membership will be
$150.00• Foundation Member Application Forms will be available on
the MCYS website www.mcys.com.au
