TLC RETREAT END-OF-SUMMER REPORT We're celebrating another great season at our camp. We ended the summer with 2,566 camper nights, at least four decisions for Christ, and a balance of approx. $12,000 in our account. We also built two new bunkhouses, bringing an additional 48 beds to the camp. THANK YOU to all who helped with building projects, cleaned, cooked, and taught about Christ. Final work days are on October 16-18.

MONTANA MISSIONS OFFERING We met our goal of $4,500! With our matching gift, our total offering was $9,000 for the Montana Missions Offering.

Childcare is provided for kids (infant-age 2) in the nursery. A Baby Care room is provided for nursing moms & energetic kids. It’s in the foyer to the right as you exit the worship center.

COLLEGE TOUR OPEN HOUSE See what God is doing at the college property on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 3-6pm. Meet at the property: 631 Belton Stage in West Glacier.

HANDGUN SELF DEFENSE CLASS Tom Osborne will be offering this free class to those wishing to obtain a concealed weapon permit on Saturday, October 21, in the Atrium, 9am-noon. The shooting portion of the class, not required to obtain the permit, is optional if you provide your own gun and ammunition. There is a range fee of $10. Sign up in the Atrium. Please do not bring your weapon to the classroom session.

BIG SKY BIBLE CAMP—HIGH SCHOOL High school students, join us at camp on October 27-29. Permission slips are available at easthaven.church.

Update from Emmaus Encounter Andy and Janet Kerr

“We had a full and rewarding summer with amazing debriefs with folks from China to Iraq, Columbia to the Philippines, and all in between. It was a real honor to hear their stories and journey with them in the joy and pain of their narrative. God always meets them in their vulnerability and leads them to Himself and healing. We just get to witness His great love for them and offer Thanksgiving to Him. Wish I could tell you more, but it is confidential, however we did get this testimony from one who came this summer that I can share. “I am not sure I have adequate words to describe the debriefing process. What I know is that I came desperate, dry, and thirsty, at the point of burnout, and Jesus met me there. Janet and Andy provided me with a safe place to share my story with no judgement, no rush, just love, a well placed question or insight, and time and space to unpack what I had stuffed for years overseas. They became Jesus’ hands and feet as they walked with me through losses, grief, and sorrows, ultimately leading me to the cross where Jesus took it all. I came away with renewed hope, a whole heart, and an understanding of my Abba Father that I have never had in 30 plus years walking with Him.” This brought us to tears of joy and gratitude for what God did and that we could join Him in it. This is what debriefing is and why we love what we get to do! Thanks for being a part of this ministry in prayer and love and support. This testimony belongs to you too. Prayer Point: Be praying with us for a reliable car or truck that can be used by those who come for debriefing in the winter.”

First Baptist Church: Poplar, Pastor Lito Magbanua May their ministry bring forth much fruit and that the fellowship would grow. Pray for encouragement with the start of a new work. South Asia Project: Pray for the P/W leadership as they boldly proclaim the Good News. Carmen DeVries: Ethnos 360 in Papua New Guinea Pray for rain. They’ve had very little in the last two months. It is extremely dry. Gardens are not producing, which is a way of life for our national friends. Jake & Katie Oyler: Ethnos 360 in missionary training Zach & Carrie Wolfe: Pioneers Ministry Pray for the half a million young Japanese, tormented by anxiety and mental illness, as they isolate themselves in their homes. Many are suicidal. Pioneer staff are asking us to pray for the hikkikomori and their families. Glacier Bible College: Pray for the funds needed to build the dorms and staff house, and a timely completion of Schleyer’s house. Pray for the recruitment of students needed to start in the Fall of 2018.

OCTOBER 27-28 | TLC RETREAT PRIMETIME GETAWAY

If you are 50 years and up, you’re invited to our first annual Primetime Getaway. This promises to be a fun event, allowing participants the opportunity to relax, play games, fish, hike, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the retreat facility and Middle Thompson Lake. This getaway will include a special time of worship, as we fellowship with other friends and family. Kim Baker will lead our two worship sessions. Our main guest speaker will be Pastor Chris Baker from Summit Life Church in Whitefish. Join us for this very special first annual retreat!

CAMP WORK WEEK AT TLC RETREAT DATES: OCTOBER 16-18 We have some end-of-the-year projects to get finished before the snow comes. Bring your family out to the camp and help us finish these projects October 16-18. Projects include painting, chopping down trees, and other miscellaneous jobs. DISASTER RELIEF IN HOUSTON DATES: TBD We have a connection with the disaster relief in Houston. It’s as easy as driving to Billings and hopping on a bus to Houston. Call the oRce if you are interested.

DISASTER RELIEF: BLOOD DRIVE DATE: OCTOBER 25, 11AM—3:30PM West Kootenai had a blood drive scheduled on October 25, but because of the fire, they have cancelled it. Easthaven picked up this date and will be hosting the blood drive on October 25. Call the oRce to sign up to give blood.
