Interfaith Family Group –– Please join us for our first gath-ering and community service project on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. We will be assembling Literacy Bags for our neighbors in Wagenhals Hall. All ages and faith backgrounds are welcome! We’ll play a game, have a light snack, and learn about the neighbors Trinity English assists during the week. Please bring any new and gently used books you would like to donate for ages birth - teen. Con-tact Julia at [email protected] with any questions

Date Night with a Purpose Small Group –– Join us for Date Night with a Purpose on Saturday January 25. 5:00- 7:30 pm at the Hoppy Gnome. We will pack kits for the fam-ilies of Parkview Health’s Women and Children’s Outreach Program. Donations of children’s gloves, protein bars, fruit cups, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, sham-poo and soap can be dropped off at the church and anyone is welcome to donate these items whether you attend or not. Space is limited to 20 people. RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to attend. Attendees can order off the regular menu and will cover the cost of their own meal.

Community Dinner Volunteer Need –– If you are interest-ed in contributing to our Thursday night Community Din-ners or know of someone who is, we are in need of food prep assistance. As seasons vary, we are currently serving about 60 individuals each week. You can help by adopting one Thursday of each month to feed our community. This includes simply donating money to cover the cost of the meal or getting involved and preparing it. Please contact Alexandra Presley about this opportunity.

Donation Request –– Flower Delivery Ministry is requesting donation of large cans (like 3lb. coffee cans) for use when delivering flowers to our friends in hospital or nursing facili-ties. Donations can be left at the church front desk.

Calling All Quilters! –– The Lutheran World Relief Quilting group begins their 2020 monthly gatherings on Thursday January 22nd. They will meet from noon to 3:30 in Wagen-hals Hall. They will be layering the quilt tops with batting and flannel backs. Then the quilts will be finished with tying knots on surface of the quilts. All are welcome. no experience is needed. Come for the entire afternoon or for shorter time as your schedule allows. Can’t make the Thursday gathering, but want to be part of this project? Even with donated fabric for tops, the Quilt Project cost over $2000 a year. Donations can be sent to WELCA thru Diane Nichols, WELCA treasurer. Last year Trinity sent 153 quilts to Lutheran World Relief. Some of the quilts sent went to Bosnia and Syria.Questions? Contact Cindy Goshert 437-3603

Christians in Action (CIA) –– Jan. 19th in Wagnehals Hall at 10:00am. Help create dog treats and toys for local animal shelters. This is an ALL-AGES event; see you there! Contact: Maggie

Yoga for Wellness –– Beginning January 2020, Yoga for Wellness resumes Wednesdays at 5:30pm in room 203W.

Confirmation Classes ––Resume on Sunday, January 12th 3:00pm Room 111W.

Parents with Young Children Small Group –– Parents will meet early afternoon Saturdays at member’s home or at Trinity (with child care) and use a Fuller Seminary online series on “Cultivating, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self Control, etc.” Contact Pastor Haller for more information.

Alzheimer’s Support Group –– A support group for caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s or De-mentia meets in our library monthly. Join us on the second Thursday of the month from 10-11:30 AM. Abigail Circle –– We will meet on Wednesday, January 15, at 7:00 PM in the Fireside Room. Doug Brouwer will be speaking on “Camp for Children of Incarcerated Parents”. All women are welcome to join us.

Healthier Moms and Babies –– Next Sunday, January 19, at both the 9 and 11 AM worship ser-vices, special guests will be joining us to thank Trinity for your generosity during the Angel Tree program. As you may know, you raised more than $23,300 for cribs and parent information to help address the high infant mortality numbers in Fort Wayne. Paige Wilkins, executive director of Healthier Moms and Babies; and Iric Headley, executive director of Fort Wayne UNITED will share some of what your gifts will mean to families in our community.

Social Media –– If you aren’t following Trinity English on Facebook and Instagram, you may be missing some fun pictures and important stories. If you are interested in learning how to follow us, please send a note to Makayla Tedder or give us a call at the church office 426-3424.

Open Doors –– Yes, it is winter and it is cold. But if you have any interest and intention to welcome guests at Open Doors, please give Julia Konow a call or email. There is no guarantee ANYONE will stop in on a cold day, but when someone does venture in the doors, it is a positive experience for both the guest and the greeter.

God on Tap –– If you’re between the ages of 21 and 35, we welcome you to join the conversation at Hop River Brewing Co. Yes, at the bar! This group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm to talk about relatable life topics like purpose, hobbies, music, mental health and much more. This month, the group will discuss what it means to self-reflect and look back at where [we] were a decade ago. Please contact Alexandra Presley, our Community Development Manager, for more information.
