NEW MAINTENANCE POLE BARN: You may have seen the recent construction of a Maintenance Pole Barn. This new building on property will allow St. Peter to consolidate equipment and materials to one covered location and protect them from the elements. The existing garage will be used as a

mechanical/wood workshop. This building has been made possible due to many donations of money, time and materials. With a

generous donation from the Victor and Dorothy Pohlman Estate, we were able to purchase majority of the building materials. Ray Plote donated 80 loads of materials including 120 feet retaining wall (Jersey Wall) and gravel. While there is still much work to do and a concrete floor will be needed in the future, our maintenance crew is very excited to use the new facility. Special thanks to Rich Wiskirchen for volunteering his time and knowledge to this project. Rich has put in many hours to see this project become a reality.

GROCERY SACK SUNDAY!

StewardTip: Use a bicycle when you can for nearby errands. It’s good for you,

will save you money, and is better for the environment! Look for a used child trailer at garage sales or on Craigslist to add carrying capacity.

When you do need to drive, plan your trip for the most efficient route (least back-tracking). Build as many errands as possible into one trip, rather than making multiple trips. ADDITIONAL RESOURCES:

Charitable, Christian Planning Reflects our Faith. The opportunity to include charitable giving in the estate planning of U.S. citizens is largely overlooked by the vast majority of people in our nation. We hope that more people will continue to do in their death what they have done during their entire lives; namely share love with family members and support the work of the Lord. But, if a person waits until they are no longer able to make their own decisions or until they die, charitable planning is not likely to happen. Contrary to popular myth, a person can witness their faith and support ministries without disinheriting their family. To learn more about charitable giving, contact Ray Pagels, our Christian Gift Planning Counselor at 847-885-3350, Ext. 200 or [email protected].

Christian Counselling: HOW DO YOU FEEL? DO YOU HAVE PEACE IN YOUR HEART AND MIND? WHAT IS YOUR LEVEL OF ANXIETY AND INTERNAL STRESS? YOU CAN FEEL OKAY IN STRESSFULSI TUATIONS, BUT EVENTUALLY IT WILL ALL CATCH UP TO YOU. Interestingly both the Bible and the field of Counseling psychology speak the same language on this topic. St. Paul describes the peace one has when connected to God through Jesus Christ: “the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:7 NIV] Biblical guidance and best mental health practices give us the spiritual guidance and psychological direction we need to attain that all-encompassing peace of heart, mind and soul that we have waiting for us in Christ and that living a life in Him can give us now. TODAY is the day to call clinical pastoral counselor and accredited addictions treatment professional Dr. Dean Pittelko, BCPC, CAAP for an appointment. Persons affiliated with St. Peter Church or School receive their introductory/assessment appointment for only $20. Subsequent office visits are based on your insurance copay [if you have one] or what you are able to pay [based on your financial documentation]. Those affiliated with. Peter Church and School receive greatly discounted fee as well. Appointments are available at St. Peter Church and School, St, John – Schaumburg on Irving Park Rd. and Rodenburg [Braintree] and Immanuel – Bartlett near the Bartlett train station [Lake St. and Barrington Rd.
