Cards for a CauseThe Grissom PTO is holding a “Cards for a Cause” fundraiser. Choose a box of 30 all-
occasion, birthday, holiday or thank-you cards for $30! Orders and payment are due Friday,
February 28th.
Early Dismissal!Friday is a Half-Day! Dismissal will be
at 12:00.

What? Breakthrough gives you an opportunity to work as a team and find alternatives to dealing with the pressures of middle school.

Grissom/Prairie View DanceNJHS is sponsoring a dance to be held at Grissom on Friday, February 28th from 6-8 pm. Tickets will be on sale for $4 during all lunches from Tuesday,
February 18th through Friday, February 21st. Tickets will increase to $5 during the week of
February 24th-28th. Tickets will not be sold at the door!
There will be concessions and floral Hawaiian leis on sale for $1 at the dance.

Ronald McDonald House CharitiesGrissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program. There is a collection box on the bench outside
the Commons for your donations.
Student SupportBefore and after school Student
Support is offered from 8:00-8:35 am each morning, and from 3:10-
4:05 pm Monday through Thursday. You must arrive at the beginning of the session and stay for the whole
time!
*There is NO Student Support onFriday’s after school!
Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge
Last year, Grissom Patriots saved 14,316 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the
water bottle filling stations located throughout the building. So are this year, we have saved 11,632 plastic bottles from the
landfills!
