This week, the Sanctuary building will close for renovations. Beginning next week, the 8:00AM Worship service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church (2 blocks away.) The 9:30AM and 11:00AM services will both be in Maxwell Hall. Sunday school classes that previously met in the Sanctuary building have been relocated to other rooms. (the insert in your bulletin has more information on this.) Maps showing the new locations of these classes are available in the Sanctuary and in Maxwell Hall. Mission Committee is Looking for Volunteers The Mission Committee is looking for MUMC members who are interested in joining its work supporting the many missions in which our congregation serves. Also, the Committee is interested in finding a person with strong communication skills to help inform the congregation of mission activities and work on a catalog of MUMC’s missions. Whether or not you have these specific skills, if you hear God calling you about this opportunity, please call Sharyl Wood at 904-415-2460 or email [email protected]. The Committee meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00PM. Shrimp Festival is Here! If you parked behind the church and would like to leave your car for the day, please let the youth volunteers in the parking area know. They are providing parking for a donation of $10. Be sure to visit the youth’s food booth on the corner of Centre and 6 th Street to get an award-winning shrimp quesadilla! Shrimp Fest is the biggest fundraiser for our youth, so come out and support them! Join us for Vacation Bible School! At VBS this year, kids who have completed PreK through completed 4th grade will join together for a week of fun and learning. Our kids will be “Catching the Wave of God’s Love” together with the kids from First Presbyterian Church! Join us June 20th - 24th for all of the fun. Children and volunteers (including youth) must register by June 12th at: 2016.cokesburyvbs.com/mumcfpc. Sign up yourself, your children and grandchild today! No Taizé Worship Tonight There is no Taizé Worship tonight due to Shrimp Festival. Worship will begin again on June 5th. Taizé, a quiet, prayerful service of worship accompanied by piano and violin music, is held the first Sunday of each month at 6:00PM at Trinity United Methodist Church (on the corner of 8th and Ash Street.) All are welcome to share this peaceful time with God.

Walkers, Runner and Cyclists Wanted MUMC is participating in a year-long, virtual journey to raise money for Imagine No Malaria. Through the virtual journey, we will connect the capitals of the 26 African nations most plagued by malaria. In addition to giving from within the church, walkers, runners and cyclists may fundraise and pledge miles toward this 14,000-mile trip.
