Lit t le LEAPs Little Leaps, the group for parents/guardians and their children ages birth to 3 years old, meets today, June 29, at 9:15 am in room 102. We sing, dance, play and pray together to learn ways to raise our little Christians in the home. We have time with the kids and time with just the adults. During the adult time, volunteers play with our children as we talk. We welcome newcomers all the time! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer who helps our children during adult time, contact Carla Stanton, carla@firstlu.org. BURRACHOS FUNDRAISEROn Monday, June 30, students who are going on mission trips will host a fundraiser at Burrachos Fresh Mexican Grill. Come and eat between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m., and 20 percent of the proceeds will go to the mission trip. Simply mention the First Lutheran mission trip when you order.

SUNSHINE BOYSThe Sunshine boys will meet only once in July — on Thursday, July 3, at 9 am. Sunshine Boys help with outdoor and indoor projects. Rolls and coffee are supplied to replenish your reserves!

YOUNG YOUTH TO SUGAR CREEK!Thursday, July 10th. Explore Sugar Creek camp during this one-day adventure. There will be games, nature time, crafts, swimming, a pony ride, Bible study, singing and more. The group will leave the church at 7:30 am and be at the camp from 9 am to 3 pm. $20/camper includes snacks and lunch. BLOOD DRIVEThursday, July 10th 12:30-5:30 pm, in the Fellowship Hall. Every day, ordinary people are saved by some pretty extraordinary people: People who give blood. HUMAN RIGHTS CELEBRATIONChurch Women United will have a Human Rights Celebration on Thursday, July 10, 5-7 pm, at the Black River Beach House in La Crosse. Bring something for the potluck supper and any donations for New Horizons, which provides shelter and services to people affected by domestic violence.

ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION Adrian and Doris Hagen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception in Fellowship Hall on Saturday, July 12, from 1-4 pm. Come and visit with them, but they request no gifts.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PICNICSunday, July 20, noon to 2 pm at Onalaska’s Community Park, Lion’s Shelter. People can sign up at the Connecting Point table or by emailing [email protected]. If you have questions, contact Kathryn.

TONI GROSHEK IN CONCERTWorship song leader Toni Groshek of La Crosse will perform songs from her debut album, “Red Light — Green Light,” at a CD release concert at 7 pm Sunday, July 27, at Olivet Lutheran Church on French Island. The concert is free; CDs will be available for purchase for $10. The digital album is already available online at Amazon, iTunes, Spotify and CD Baby.

SUGAR CREEK GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISERMonday, July 28, Drugan’s Castle Mound. First Lutheran will form a team for this fundraiser. Contact Pastor Stanton with questions and to RSVP: [email protected].

BAPTISMAL PREPARATIONA baptism preparation session will be Saturday, August 2, at 10 am in the narthex for anyone who is considering or has scheduled a baptism. RSVP to the church office and contact the office with any questions: [email protected] / 608.738.8354.

ACOLYTE VOLUNTEERSThe church will use volunteer acolytes this summer. If you’re in grades 6 through 12 and are interested in assisting with worship as an acolyte for a Sunday or Wednesday in July or August, call the church office at 783-2236, or send email to Pastor Karyn, [email protected].

‘FIRST’ FLYERSThe “First Flyers” bicycling group, for both men and women, gathers at 10 am every Wednesday at First Lutheran for a 10- to 15-mile bike ride, traveling at 10 to 15 mph. There will be a new route each week If you have questions, call Pastor Ted Dewald at 780-3643.
