END OF YEAR CHURCH MEETING Church Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th at 10am. All members are encouraged to attend. Agenda items for consideration should be submitted to the church office no later than noon, Thursday December 4th.
TRUSTEE MINISTRY The Trustee Ministry requests that all Pur-chase Requisitions (PR’s) and associated receipts or invoices be submitted to the Fi-nancial Secretary no later than 21 December 2014 so that the Trustee Ministry can pre-pare the financial records for year-end clo-sure. There can be no exception or exten-sion to this request.

YOUTH MINISTRY
First Friday in December: The Youth Prayer Dinner will be held on Friday, Decem-ber 5th from 7-9 pm in the Grain of Heaven for 6th thru 12th graders. Come and meet Erica Austin, What Every Child Should Know About Prayer: From a Child’s Point of View’s author. Dressy attire is required for this event. Jeans and tennis shoes are not allowed. Also, youth are asked to partici-pate in the Youth Canned Food Drive Con-test to fight hunger in the communi-ty. The top 6 winners will receive a prize. Canned goods should be brought to the prayer dinner. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN-UP FOR THE PRAYER DIN-
NER AND THE CANNED FOOD DRIVE.
Youth Bible Study in Teen Tabernacle: “Living Out the Teachings of Jesus” is the general theme for our Wednesday night study which begins at 8pm. This week’s class will focus on “Making the Right Deci-sions.” Come and discover how to make choices that please God.
Youth Sunday Worship Participants Needed: All FMZ Youth have an oppor-tunity and an occasion to serve. Please contact Rev. Attention 2015 Graduating High School Seniors who are members of FMZ: If you missed the AEM Scholarship Workshop you missed out on a lot of information for college funding. You may still apply for the FMZ scholarship! Pick up your application in the large white envelopes by the mailboxes in the Narthex and follow directions! Love Donations to FMZ Students Attend-ing Institutions of Higher Learning. The AEM will provide Love Donations to FMZ students who are attending institutions of higher education. Institutions of higher learning may be a college, university, com-munity college, technical school or other schools offering a degree or certification. The Love Donations consist of an encour-agement card and a monetary donation. Request parents/guardians provide the student’s name, name of the institution, mailing address (home and school) and student’s FMZ member number to Sis. Ma-linda or Bro. Ken Spencer, [email protected] or Sis. Pat Paige, [email protected] by December 8, 2014.

The holiday season is just a few weeks away, and it's time to pull out the Christmas decorations. Volunteers are needed to help decorate FMZ for the holidays on December 1st, 2014. DANCE MINISTRY
Are you ready to exalt God through the gift of Dance? If so, then the Dance Min-istry is ready for you! We are looking for youth (starting at age 6) & adult mem-bers who want to join us in our fall/winter programs. Rehearsals for this year's Christmas Production are starting. ZONES L1 & L3 The Zone L-1 and L-3 Small Group Min-istry invites all Zone L-1 & L-3 members to join us in collecting spiritual & quality children’s books TODAY through De-cember 14th. Books collected will be donated to The Reading Workshop which promotes early childhood literacy for children age 4-11 and serves a sub-stantial segment of children from disad-vantaged neighborhoods and school districts. Books may be placed in the lobby nook book bin. FMZBC VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
First Mount Zion Baptist Church is seeking to fill a Director of Small Groups Ministry vacancy. The director identifies, develops, equips, evaluates and disciples small groups coaches and leaders within the church. The director is committed to sharing and implementing the vision of the church by establishing community through small groups. Must be able to pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license, work a full time flexible work schedule and be willing to travel. ZONE FELLOWSHIP OUTREACH
This year the FMZBC 2014 Zone Fel-lowship Christmas Outreach Effort will support Mary Elizabeth Ministry (MEM), Action in Community Through Service of Prince William, Inc. (ACTS), and the Brisben Center of Fredericks-burg (BCF). Mary Elizabeth is an or-ganization within our church that pro-vides support for young single parents. ACTS and the Brisben Center are homeless shelters that provide support for people in crisis. The Zone Outreach Committee will collect donations in the Narthex before and after each worship service on TODAY and December 7 and 14. We will also collect donations at Zone Fellowships on Sunday, De-cember 7 and 14. Thank you for your willingness to support our outreach effort. Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of needy people.
