UPDATE FROM OUR MISSION TEAM: WORKING AND PRAYING IN KODIAK, ALASKA

We are all doing well and working hard. I have to email you to share a short experience that really gave me wonderful goosebumps! I spent a bit of time with Father Innocent’s wife and Denise, the teacher who has the preschool and kindergarten kids. They mentioned right away that they wanted to thank us again for the Kohl’s Check for $1500 that we left two

years ago. Veronica continued to say that it has created a chain reaction in the parish. The church school bought a new curriculum that year. Supplies were needed to deliver it with fidelity. They used the money to make that happen. The lessons are so engaging, and they teach the children K-12. With the new curriculum, they also must send the teachers for training. Again, the money we gave them went toward that too. Because the kids are wanting to come to come to church school, so are the parents! They stay longer during and after service. It has continued to the community! The church has grown as a result! Father, God is at work here! He is bringing us to Kodiak to support such a fantastic group of people.

We worked alongside two families last night with painting the cathedral and didn’t leave until after 11 pm. Wow the ceilings are tall!!!

We will all slowly share stories with you so keep checking your email box! If you want to call sometime, please do. It is humbling to continue this mission work. We are safe and well fed. No worries. The seminary has embraced us again and we are reconnecting with old friends. So blessed. So very blessed.

Love to all!

SUNDAY, JULY 22: COMBINED LITURGY WITH HOLY TRINITY AS OUR GUESTS HERE

Since we were under construction and spent six months with Holy Trinity, we established an annual tradition of getting back together for a Liturgy each summer. This year, Father Bill and the faithful of Holy Trinity will join us here on Sunday, July 22.
