The city of the straightened leaning tower, Galileo Galilei, and a long, though updated tradition of scholarship and knowledge. It is conventiently located in one of the top tourist attractions in Europe–Tuscany, less than an hour drive or train ride from Florence. The timing is early spring, just ahead of the crowds. The ISPNE is a well-established Society with a long tradition of integration of basic and clinical Research. The explosion of knowledge in Hormone, Brain and Behavior, positions PsychoNeuro- Endocrinology as pivotal-central crossroads of translation of bench work to clinical treatment appli- cations. The understanding of contribution and modulation of hormones to the pathobiology of diversified mental disorders is significantly being clarified. As a consequence, hormonal inter- ventions are currently in the process of application for drug development. The broad spectrum of clinical applications and the in-depth molecular and genetic operational understanding assure an exciting meeting. The focus will be on Neurosteroids, women’s life cycle related situations and stress. However, the full gamut of Neuro-Psycho-Immuno-Endocrinology will be represented in the Scientific symposia. Clinical application will also be presented in the Educational workshops. Close to twenty imminent investigators and clinicians already confirmed their participation as speakers. The program will comprise of plenary lectures, plenary symposia, focused workshops, and investigator-initiated presentations.
