Mary argues that Emily Dickinson’s’ journey of death’, Because I could not stop for Death is supported by ‘theory of fantasy’, where she compares “Death as a Suitor" than a hard reality, and is excited about life after death. Frost’s The Road Not Taken applies ‘theory of realism’, it has presented ‘journey’ as an exciting adventure towards unknown regions. Whereas, Thom Gunn’s On the Move and Larkin’s Aubade, are supported by ‘theory of existentialism’, in which their journey depends upon man’s power and will to move. Though the source is limited and objective, it could be improved upon if Mary incorporated more insight into the issues of journey. Marys article helps a reader to understand various expressions of the journey, that is, often from life to death, from known to unknown regions, from passivity to movement, and lastly, from present to the future.
