Project to ease congestion on US 50 from MD 70 to MD 2 northbound (1.7 miles) by restriping lanes on the Severn River/Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge to accommodate an additional eastbound travel lane.

Planning underway. Engineering to begin during current fiscal year.

Moved from the Development and Evaluation Program to the Construction Program. Funding provided by the Governor's Investment in Highways and Bridges Initiative.

The approaches to the Severn River/Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge experience severe congestion, particularly the eastbound direction during the evening peak period.
