The Archangels

ArielAriel’s   name   means   “Lioness   of   God”1,   and   she   reflects   these  qualities,   including bravery,   courage,   focus,   and   elegant  movements.   If   you  notice   images   of   lions   or lionesses, this signals that Ariel is with you. Call upon her to boost your confidence and courage.

Ariel   loves   all   living   beings,   and   gladly   helps   them   all.   She’s   a   master manifestor, and she’s especially supportive of people who are healers, teachers, and service workers. She’s very partial to the environmental area, and she works closely with   the  nature  angels   [elementals]   to  protect  and heal  animals—particularly   the birds, animals, and fish who live near/in the water. One way to work with Ariel is to participate in environmental work, including picking up trash near a lake, stream, or ocean;   donating   time   or   money   to   an   environmental   cause;   or   switching   to environmentally friendly cleaning supplies.

JeremielJeremiel’s name means “Mercy of God”, and when you call upon him, Jeremiel delivers mercy to you and everyone involved. Jeremiel guides you and others to act in loving ways. He also helps you adopt a merciful outlook, which enables you to consistently treat yourself with respect and tender loving care.

An angel of “true vision”, allowing those who call on him to ferret out the truth—of course, this may be at all costs. His totem animal is the eagle. Remiel and Uriel have similar attributes. This angel is also in charge of the soul integration process into a new human body, if one believes in reincarnation.

JophielJophiel’s name means “Beauty of God”. She sees beauty in everything and everyone, and helps you do the same. Jophiel knows that when we spend regular time outdoors, we’re cleared of lower energies, and naturally have a more beautiful outlook on life. Call upon Jophiel to ease your schedule to allow for outdoor time: plan a nature­based vacation, move to a more rural environment, start a butterfly garden, or just connect to nature in any way that pleases you.

MichaelMichael’s chief role is to escourt away the lower energies of fear. If you become worried or anxious, mentally ask Michael to bring you peace. You can also ask that he clear your home, office, vehicle, or community of toxic energies. After you call upon Michael, you’ll likely notice a warm feeling. That’s because he has a fiery warrior spirit. You can ask Michael to stay with you continuously, as he’s able to be with everyone who calls upon him simultaneously. 

Michael’s name means “He Who is Like God”, since he emanates the Creatrix’s awesome qualities of love, power, strength, and unwavering faith. When you call upon Michael, your own similar qualities are enhanced and magnified. Ask Michael to enter your dreams and clear away any fears that are blocking you from fully enjoying and living your spiritual gifts and qualities. Michael works especially well with us while we’re sleeping, since that’s when we’re more open­minded and receptive.

He is  an avenging angel,  traditionally  depicted wearing armour. He has the peacock’s   feather   wings.   Traditionally   he   carries   a   blazing   sword,   but   today   his weapon is the written word and not military rockets. He is the chief guardian of police officers, security guards, hunters, and armed service personnel. He stands firm as the guardian of the Goddess on the astral planes, wherein he protects her energy from the onslaughts of the patriarchy. Michael has a special talent for cleansing anything, from people to places. He watches over all bodies of water. His festival, Michaelmas, takes place on September 29. On Sundays, he’s hours one and eight. He’s the angel of snow, mercy, Gaia, and prayer. His direction is South and he’s the angel of the southern wind. He’s associated with Leo, the sun, Mercury, and Saturn.

RaguelRaguel’s name means “Friend of God”, and his principal role is to create harmony and order in relationships. He has the power to resolve disputes, and is often referred to as “The Archangel of Justice and Fairness”. If you find yourself in a dispute, ask Raguel to act as mediator. He’ll come up with a creative resolution in which everyone wins.

Like an air­traffic controller, Raguel oversees archangels and angels, ensuring harmony, cooperation, and order among them all. In this same way, he’ll help you sort all your feelings, enabling you to notice, understand, and follow them.

Raguel has beautiful pale­blue energy, like the sky on a perfect spring morning. He’s the archangel who guides people to act in fair and just ways, and Raguel also gives us faith in humanity’s essential goodness. Wearing or holding an aquamarine crystal will align you with Raguel’s kind and wise persona.

RaphaelRaphael’s name means “Whom God Heals”5, and he is known as the healing angel in charge   of   physical   healings   for   all   living   beings.   Often,   Raphael   gives   us   Divine guidance (intuition, thoughts, ideas, dreams, and so on) about how we can participate in   keeping   our   bodies   healthy.   When   you   call   upon   Raphael   for   a   healing,   pay attention to inner impressions, and be sure to follow through upon guidance that calls you to take action.

Raphael   is   Summerland’s   physician,   and   he   prescribes   preventative   and curative medicine in the form of Divine intervention and guidance. In the former, he swoops into the situation and surrounds it with his emerald­green healing light and love—and the situation is instantly healed. But in the latter (which is actually more common), Raphael will give you intuition and hunches showing how you can help with the healing.

Ask Raphael   to   surround  anything  needing  healing  with  his   emerald­green aura. The crystals that are aligned with Raphael’s healing energy are emeralds and malachite.

ShekinahShekinah is known as “glory emanating from the divine” and stands for liberation. Many  see  her  as   “the  Holy  Ghost”.   In  Jewish  lore,  Shekinah  stands  between   the creator and the human. When Adam and Eve left Eden, she remained. The purpose of the  universe   is   to   reunite  male  with   female;  creator  with  creatrix;  Metatron with Shekinah.

UrielUriel’s name means “The Light of God”. He’s known for his ability to enlighten our minds with Divine inspiration. Anytime you need answers or insights, call upon Uriel. He answers anyone who calls upon him. You’ll know that Uriel has answered when you have repetitive thoughts or ideas that are positive, loving, and helpful. If you need facts in a hurry (such as during a test or important meeting), Uriel will supply you

THE FIRST SPHERE

These beings operate at the highest level of the astral, closest to Divinity. They can manifest things by pure contemplation.

The SeraphimThey are considered angels of pure love, light, and fire. They keep the vibes around Divinity clean of negativity, and send out Divinity’s vibes to the other Spheres and us, keeping the ball spinning. They shine too brilliantly for most humans to deal with. You don’t just run into them, it’s an INVITATION ONLY thing. But they’ll listen if you ask for their help in a ritual for humanitarian and planetary workings (especially group rituals). Burn a white candle for Divinity and a purple candle for the Seraphim.

The CherubimThey function as the guardians of light and stars; they create and channel positive energy; they watch out for the entire multiverse, collecting and dispensing energy as needed;   they   guard   any   religious   temple/place   of   worship;   they   can   function   as personal guards who wield flaming swords, should that be necessary.

In looks, they’re very far from the fat babies of art; they’re usually half­human half­beast   (many  Egyptian   deities   can   be   seen  as  Cherubim;   e.g.  Sekhmet,   Bast, Anubis). 

Their   name   means   “those   who   intercede”;   they’re   beings   of   knowledge   and boundless love.

Call them if you need divine protection, wisdom, and knowledge. Burn a white candle for Divinity and a blue candle for the Cherubim.

The ThronesThese are the private investigators of the angel realm, and justice is very important to them.   They’ll   searchlight   any   injustice   and   send   healing   energies   to   the   victims (usually working through the Guardian). They create, channel and collect incoming and outgoing energies and teach humility.

They are usually assigned to planets,  so most planetary angels are Thrones. Their name implies their stability; Divinity stands on their capable shoulders.

If you need smoothing out trouble between groups of people or individuals, for stability, and anything related to planets or planetary energies, call the Thrones.

THE SECOND SPHERE

They’re concerned with the cosmos and interconnectedness, and flow in an intensity of power. They carry out orders from the higher­ups and take an interest in the orders of those  below  them.  They  also   concern   themselves  with   the  governing  of  a   specific planet.

The DominionsThese are   the  Divine   leaders;   they’re   the  epitome of   cause/effect;   they  are  perfect mediators and arbitrators; they go about integrating the material and the spiritual.

If you have any issue with, about or relating to leadership, the Dominions are the first ones to call. They’re concerned with leaders and leadership, and the fairness and balance that ought to go with it – like the Angelic  ANTI­CORRUPTION  HOTLINE. They bestow ‘natural’   leadership and help all  types of leaders. They’re also great to call when starting a new project or if you get stuck with a continuing one. Burn a white candle for Divinity and a pink candle for the Dominions.

The PowersThey   are   warrior   angels,   and   function   as   regulators   of   chaos.   Working   out   of encompassing love, they dispense justice. They organize the world’s religions and send divine  energy   to  keep  the  positive  aspects  of   them going.  They  work   through  the human   sixth   sense   to   warn   of   someone   set   to   harm   you,   and   ferret   out   hidden agendas.

Call them when in trouble. They ferret out hidden agendas designed to harm others and will help you spot this if you ask them. They’ll defend your home, property, kids, or any group of people who call on them for defense. Burn a white candle for Divinity and a yellow candle for the Powers.

The VirtuesThese are the “miracle angels” ­ they move massive amounts of energy to the earth plane and collective human unconsciousness. They bestow grace and valour and are

fond of the “underdogs” who strive to work beyond their restrictions and achieve when others   say   they   can’t.   They   love   go­getters   and   positive   people   striving   towards harmony.

They are the nature angels, so the elemental energies fall under their auspices – earth, air, fire, water, spirit, weather patterns, planetary upheavals. 

They’ll also help with healings; they’ll be the hotline if you’re in trouble, sick, or scared. Burn a white candle for Divinity and an orange candle for the Virtues.

THE THIRD SPHERE

They are the earth angels  who mingle  with humanity and are closely   involved  in human affairs.

The PrincipalitiesThey   guard   large   groups,   like   continents,   countries,   cities,   towns,   and   other grandscale human activities. They’re about global reform, and watch and work with human   leaders   in   political   or   religious   affairs,   to   try   and   help   them   make   good decisions. You’ll find them where any large group of people is gathered, whether to make decisions or have fun.

They   are   Divine   Human   Rights   Lawyers,   and   will   help   in   times   of discrimination. They fight against extinction. They’ll sort out inadequate leadership, whether in a company or a city or a country, and will help with making wise decisions regarding these.

The ArchangelsThe Archangels deal with everyone, from the top brass to the newborn babe. They’re often involved in one of the other Spheres.

The   four   established   Archangels   are   Michael,   Raphael,   Gabriel   and   Uriel. Others include Metatron, Jeremiel, Chamuel, Zadkiel, Raguel, Raziel, Jophiel, Azrael, Ariel, Sandalphon, and Haniel.

To   contact   them,   burn   a   white   candle   for   Divinity   and   their   personal corresponding candle colour.

The AngelsThese are the guardian angels, those assigned to individuals. Everyone has one. They may hail from one of the other spheres, if you’re a revolutionary or working towards something   big.   Whatever   the   case,   they   link   themselves   to   human   and   physical matters,  and funnel  energies   from you to Divinity  and back.  They’re  constantly   it touch with the other angels, and work with you and with them to accomplish things.

They’re our best friends and closest companions. They stick it out with you from birth to death, through all your incarnations.

If you want their help, ask and believe. They’ll rally whatever they can; they’ll do everything in their power if you just ask. You’ll still have to do some footwork, of course,  but   they  rock  with  bringing  out  hithero  unseen opportunities  or  beelining activities; they’ll help plot out solutions and soundboard them if you want them to.
