At my first Avon convention I met a woman who had 300 people on her team and was getting checks for $2,000 a month, and I thought, “That’s the kind of money I want to make.” So I recruited five people and became a Unit Leader. But my first check was for $13…and so was my second check…and my third. SUCCESS TIPSTake the Beauty of Knowledge course “Network Marketing Today” at yourAVON.com. It tells you everything you need to know about starting your business.

Show them the money. I have a Team Group on Facebook. When my Leaders get their bonus checks, I take pictures and post them on Facebook. This creates momentum and keeps the excitement going.

I encourage a lot of table events…everywhere. We’ve been in front of gas stations, grocery stores and shopping centers. It’s another way to build excitement.

I’m head-to-toe Avon. My skin care, deodorant, clothing, shoes, even my hair color—all of it is Avon. Just present your favorite products and let your excitement show. I’m addicted to Cucumber Melon. In my house, we go through a bottle a week.

Build your reputation one transaction at a time. Your Avon business is

a refl ection of who you are.

Prior to Avon, I was fi red from two jobs for being

too social, so it’s amazing that talking

to people is exactly the skill I needed

to establish my Leadership business.

I started without knowing a thing about building

a business. At my fi rst Avon convention I met

a woman who had 300 people on her team

and was getting checks for $2,000 a month,

and I thought, “That’s the kind of money

I want to make.”

So I recruited fi ve people and became a Unit Leader.

But my fi rst check was for $13…and so was

my second check…and my third. But now,

I’m making $2,000 per campaign—the same

amount the woman I admired at my fi rst Avon

convention was making in one month! I realized

then how important it is to build a Downline with

people who wanted the same thing I did: money!

I’m not a high-pressure salesperson or recruiter.

I just love building relationships, getting to know

people and seeing how Avon can fi t into their lives.

Many of my Recruits come from referrals. So when

I make contact, it’s easy for that person

to say “yes” to Avon.

I’m proud to have been selected to serve

on the 2013 Sales Leadership Council.

It’s an honor to help make the Representative

experience even more enjoyable and profi table.

Before Avon, I worked at a retail store as Accounts

Payable Supervisor. Now, when people want to join

my team, I tell them that every year since 2005 I’ve

made three times my salary from corporate America.
