Revision and Exam tips (1)• The most important, do some• CCNA 4 is scheduled to complete at the end of March• The exam is at the end of April• You will receive a letter with the exam centre and date• Spend at least the same study time on revision
(suggested minimum of 4 hours per week)• Set self a couple of subnet problems, but DO NOT GET
HUNG UP on this, it is unlikely to offer you any marks advantage

Revision
Revision and Exam tips (2)• Create some simple ‘comparison’ charts as an aide
memoir • Look at the ‘points’ offered, this is a hint, each one
‘normally’ means you have to offer some knowledge.• Be strategic, keep a mental tally of points, if you are
unsure tally what you have completed, this is a ‘rough’ guide to potential marks
• Count the questions and their size and work out the time needed (this is five minutes well spent)
• 40% is the bottom line, work as though 50% is the base, allow yourself some scope

The CCNA certification exam(1)• This is an independent qualification from
the OU course– Set by Cisco, managed independently, this is
the same for all Cisco courses– You have to take this exam in a ‘prometric’ or
‘vue’ centre near you– Cost for exam is £105 approx– Pass mark is 849/1000, this is practical and
theory, the exam demands the detail covered– It is worth investing in ‘exam cram’ material– Duration is no more than 90 minutes
