Always chic, never out of date, LouisVuitton products have been a staple ofprestigious luggage and handbagssince the 19th century. The LVCompany was founded in 1854 in Parisby Louis Vuitton, who wascommissioned to design luggage forNapoleon III and his wife, EmpressEugenie. Vuitton determined that thebest luggage he could design was flatbottom trunks with trianon canvaswhich made them stackable, lightweight and airtight. With manystyles available, the pieces were widelycopied even back then, so Vuittonchanged the trianon style to brownand beige stripes then created theDamier Canvas pattern with a logo that

reads "marquee L. Vuitton depose" (roughly translated, L. Vuittontrademark").
