Dear Friends,
The next edition of TBILISI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THEATRE will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia from September 20 to October 10, 2016 and after 5 successful years of the program NEW we are opening up the doors to its 6th edition!
Briefly about TBILISI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL and Program NEW
TBILISI INTERNATIONAL runs every year by the end of September, beginning of October and is one of the major events in International life of Georgia and Black Sea Region.
The festival’s reputation has been built on the quality of its program, with the selected works of major international directors and companies from all over the world. This was the frame for the Festival for first two years since foundation. But in search of theatre and artists, that were beyond our focus and knowledge, we decided to resize the frames, rethink the idea and as a result the Festival presented program “NEW”, first in 2011. Since then - we hosted several companies from different places of world - the wonderful works and artists from Israel, Poland, Lithuania, Argentina, Romania, Germany, Finland, Russia, India, Denmark, Slovenia, South Korea, Azerbaijan, Norway, Hungary made the idea of NEW successful.
“NEW” is getting more and more popular. We receive more than 500 applications for program each year and the request is increasing.
In 2015 the Georgian Theatre Critics Association decided to name the best performance of the program. “On the Desperate Edge of Now” - a performance from Norway became the first company with prize from Festival and from Georgian Theatre Critics Association.
So, the program develops together with its participants. And we announce the program every year with great anticipation of new works, discoveries and possibilities for Festival and for Artists.

NEW is an integral part of our International Programme. NEW! is for artists who want to take risks and challenge new audiences. It is a voyage of discovery, an adventure for your artistic concepts
CONDITIONS!
If your application is selected you will be a part of TBS INTERNATIONAL programme.Festival provides following: Venue and technical support, general publicity, accommodation during the stay; Airport transfers. (The set-up day and performance day will be appointed by the festival and it varies from 2 to 3 days, accommodation is set accordingly)
Please take note that TBS international does not cover your travel costs and does not provide an artistic fee, per-diems and the final program is based on selection.
How to apply:We receive only the online application forms. Please send in the application form together with a link of a registration of your complete performance on vimeo or wetransfer and the requested appendixes to: [email protected] Deadline for call - April 1. Selected performances will be announced by e-mail not later than April 15, 2016.
