SHELDON PRAIRIE MUSEUM9:00 a.m. – Noon and after the parade until 6:00 p.m.Located downtown at 4th Ave and 10th StreetTake a step back in time and tour the 1908 Carnegie Library. There will also be other displays of early industry, Indian and animal artifacts, military, past school lifestyle, Civil War Diaries, Ellis Island dolls, and the Sheldon Hall of Fame. The latest addition is a display case featuring marble, night depository, and brick from the Sheldon National Bank where Burnice Geiger embezzled $2,126,859.10.

PRAIRIE ARTS HISTORICAL PARK 10:00 a.m. – Noon Hwy 18.Enjoy a step back in time and take a tour of four old school houses and Pioneer Home.These buildings have been restored to preserve their historic beauty, by the Prairie Arts Council. Included in the 4 schools is Sheldon’s First School, dated 1873. The 1878 Nelson Country School house – which contains Werner Lode’s to scale farms, churches and barns, plus numerous hand carvings and artwork. The 1936 Baker Township School Number 5-Center School-which contains many items from the original school

including; records, 4-H record books, pictures, and information. The Pioneer home built in 1870 by Dan McKay. Remanence with your friends and family at the beautiful setting of the Prairie Arts Historical Park. Hosted by: Prairie Arts Council

NOON KIWANIS DUCK DIVECity Park Noon – 1:00 p.m. purchase ticketsDrawing at 3:30 p.m. (immediately following the parade), Who will be the lucky duck that will win $1,000 in Sheldon Dollars and 5 lucky ducks will each win $100 in Sheldon Dollars. Sheldon Noon Kiwanis will host a duck dive fundraiser to raise funds to sponsor numerous community activities throughout the year. The ducks will be plucked following the Celebration Days’ parade. Purchase a single duck for $5, a Quack Pack of 5 ducks for $20 or a grand pack of 25 ducks for $100.Purchase a duck from any Noon Kiwanis members or the SCDC office (located at 416 9th Street).Winner need not be present to win.
