Who are you? What is your calling? Do you know what you are called to? These three questions might help us to reflect on who we are and our purpose in life. Once we realize how important our purpose in life is, we will be ready to grasp it with endurance and perseverance. Today’s Readings provide us with the guidance to achieve three identities with candor, especially the Gospel from Luke. Jesus set out on a journey with disciples to Jerusalem. Their route was to cut through Samaria on their way. Jesus needed to rest at Samaria before they pressed on but they were not accepted there. With Jesus’ journey with His disciples, every step was a lesson that Jesus gave them and to all of us. How do we deal with rejection, angry people, or retaliation? Peace! Do not be tempted to destroy or hurt others. Move on or get over it even though it is bittersweet. “Follow me – No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the kingdom of God,” Jesus’ sayings. Farmers really understand this saying of Jesus and all of us. Old method to cultivate the soil? You have to always look forward when you set your two hands on a plow, never look back. What lessons do we learn from the above saying? To answer our three questions above, it is helpful for us to make a choice. Whatever that choice is determines the purpose of your calling. Clearly considering and identifying that calling, one will realize that you need to invest commitment and devotion to that calling whatever it is. Brothers and sisters, Jesus is calling us to be His followers. Imitate Him and His faithful followers the apostles, disciples, and saints who faithfully walked in His footsteps. To follow Jesus is to deny ourselves from everything but everything is about His praise and glory, “Thy will be done.” Once we set our hands on the plow and fix our eyes on Jesus and His kingdom, all graces and blessings flow on us like a pure stream of living water. The Spirit of God is love, humility, freedom and service. Let us be guided by the Spirit of God so that we will live according to His purpose, and live freely in and through Him who gives us life in abundance. Amen. FROM THE GARDEN CLUB

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Jusko's Fundraiser. We were able to raise money to keep our

grounds looking nice.

Our church grounds are in desperate need of mulch. We are looking for monetary donations to off-set the cost so we can add mulch to our flower-beds. We want the outside to stay looking as good as

the inside of church.
