Greek religion vs Modern day religion

• Greek- Polytheistic which means they worshiped many gods

• Modern Day- Monotheistic which means they worship one god.

King of Gods

• Zues- god of the sky and chief god and his symbol was the eagle.

Six gods

• Athena- god of wisdom. • Hades- god of the underworld• Apollo- god of music and the arts• Poseidon- god of the seas,

earthquakes, and horses• Ares- god of war• Zues- King of all gods

Favorite Gods

• Andrew-Apollo because music and arts is interesting.

• Marquis- Zues because he is the god of the sea. Also he was King of Gods

Greek Mythology stories

• The iIiad & Odyddey were epic poems written by Homer.

• Iliad- written between 725 and 675 B.C.

• Odyssey- written 800 B.C.

Favorite Greek Mythology story

• Andrew’s Favorite- Odyssey. It is my favorite because it explains the adventures of Odysseus who is my favorite character in the Odyssey.

• Marquis- Iliad. Marquis says it is more easier to read than the Odyssey.

• They told stories because it would explain stuff from the past and beliefs.

• Eruipides- Portrayed war as brutal and barbaic and expressed deep compasion for women.
