Your Task• China’s President, Hu Jintao, is looking for help in

presenting information on the four Ancient Chinese Dynasties for a cultural awareness day. Since he is busy running China, your job is to come up with facts in presentation format on one dynasty that he can use to during his speech. Using “PowerPoint”, craft a creative and exciting interactive presentation to assist the President. A selection committee may view your work to help the President choose the best dynasty presentations for him to utilize during his presentation. The winning poster is sure to win a hefty prize.

How to get started:• Begin researching in class and online• Take good notes• Work cooperatively with your group• Create your PowerPoint Presentation

Questions to answer through your research: • How did your dynasty begin/rise to power?• How was your dynasty governed?• What technological advancements were made

during your dynasty time period?• What was your dynasty’s economy like?• What were the religions and beliefs of the people

in your dynasty?• How had arts and culture influenced your

dynasty? OR What were the arts and cultures that influenced your dynasty?

• What was the cause of the fall of your dynasty?

This is how you will be graded:

1. Project will count as two test grades, one for ELA and one for SS (see rubrics on my website).
