● One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special?○ Shape: Not overly

complicated right?

○ Size: Big, yes, but the ancient Egyptians had a lot of slaves and more than enough time, right?

First Focus: The Great Pyramid of Giza

Page 3: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● For starters, general dimensions:Roughly 756 feet sides and 480 feet tall(More than 2 football fields on each side)

● Truly an astounding feat for a civilization who didn’t even have the wheel

● And to add on to the feat, according to scientists, the Great Pyramid was completed in just 20 years

No, not that Simple Actually.

● Don’t forget the ramps, that the Egyptians apparently used, that had to be lengthened to allow them to continue adding stones to the top.● As well as the fact that the

Egyptians only had copper sawswith sand abrasives to cut through these huge stones, which would have taken about a week per block.

But wait...

Page 5: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

As most modern scientists do, this feat can be credited to the work of thousands of slaves who were forced to make these structures.

But Hey.

Page 6: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● The Great Pyramid is the most accurately aligned structure in existence - faces true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error, however, the position of the North Pole moves over time, meaning the pyramid was exactly aligned at one time.

● The top deviates less than 2 inches from the center of the extremely large square base

● There are many instances of perfectly 90 degree cuts in solid stone in the pyramid - Difficult even today

But what about its Precision?

Page 7: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● Also, the “simple” shape that everyone sees the Great Pyramid as is not its real shape - the Great Pyramid of Giza actually has 8 sides due to a slight concavity of the outside walls. “This phenomenon is only detectable from the air at dawn and sunset on the spring and autumn equinoxes, when the sun casts shadows on the pyramid”

Precision Continued.

● Slaves, who were forced to work on the pyramid for 20 years straight, were able cut 90 degree corners in solid stone, align the pyramid perfectly along the North-South longitude line, and build the pyramid with a slight concavity, which is only seen from the air on certain days? Plus, why all the unexplainable art?

Not so Simple After All

Page 9: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● The Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico - exactly the same size base as the Great Pyramid

● “Both the Mayans and Egyptians have legends that the gods came down and gave them instructions to build the pyramids” - both have gods with human and animal - especially bird-like - features

Just “Coincidence?”

● Most mathematicians and scientists will agree that there is other life in the universe, purely based off of probability - Astronomers estimate that there are at least 100 billion observable galaxies, and in our own Milky Way, there is around 300 billion stars, roughly 75% of which have host planets.

● Speaking only based off of probability, the chance that Earth is the only 1 planet in the entire universe to have life, is basically zero.

The Ancient Astronaut Theory

Page 13: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● Going off of the idea that Aliens do in fact exist, the question becomes how and why did they come here.

● Generally, the answer is that, like us - moon, Mars, etc, the Extraterrestrials were exploring the universe, and they stumbled upon a blossoming race of organisms - our ancestors

The Theory Continued

Page 14: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● The extraterrestrials, astounded by their discovery, wished to never lose contact, so they built signals on Earth to show them that it was a planet with life - the pyramids: which, theorists believe, originally, had casing stones (made of highly polished limestone). which reflected the sun’s light and made the pyramid shine like a jewel. The casing stones of the Great Pyramid were used by Arabs to build mosques after an earthquake in the 14th century loosened them.

● “Its been calculated that the original pyramid with its casing stones would act like gigantic mirrors and reflect light so powerfulthat it would be visible from the moon as a shining star on Earth” ● So, Extraterrestrials built the original pyramids as beacons for them to rediscover Earth.

● Why did the come?● Why did they leave?● Why haven’t they come back?● What all did they do while they were here?

But Why?

Page 17: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● Theorists cannot answer these questions, so neither can I. The theory is, after all, a theory. There are many questions that cannot be answered.

We Don’t Know...

Page 18: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● What we all learn is that Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids, just like all the other ancient civilizations, with a lot of manpower, a lot of time, and without influence from anyone else.

● There are over 25 sites, some with over a hundred pyramid structures, on 5 of the 7 continents, as well as multiple confirmed structures underwater, but all these people came up with relatively the same design on their own?

The Point

Page 19: Ancient Astronauts: The Pyramids - University of Pittsburghdjr79/djr_AliensPPT.pdf · One of the 7 Wonders of the World - Why so special? Shape: Not overly complicated right? Size:

● When you add in all the other “coincidences” from earlier, it begins to sound a little off.

● Aliens probably do exist, so what's to say they didn’t develope millennia before we did? They could have developed the “Advanced Technology of Tomorrow” as dinosaurs were still roaming Earth, making it entirely possible that they reached Earth and discovered us so long ago.
