Everything you need to achieve secure anchoring on unitized body and frame vehicles with high groundclearance. Chief’s anchoring systems and clamping accessories provide a positive way to anchor unitizedbody and frame vehicles without altering their structure and, in some applications, can be used as pullingattachments. Like all Chief Automotive Systems equipment, the anchoring attachments are designed foreasy use — keeping technicians productive and body shops profitable.

NOTE: Anchoring accessories are highlighted in photos throughout this catalog. As shown, these accessories areused in conjunction with anchoring system components (i.e. clamps, clamp bars, nuts/bolts/washers, andstand bases).

When used with Universal Anchoring System(UCS or UAS) stands, this system anchors themajority of today’s pickup trucks, sport utilityvehicles and full frame cars. The design of thisequipment permits the positioning of anchoringstands further outboard for broader measuringpurposes. The application of F.A.S.T. compo-nents depends upon the vehicle’s structuraldesign and the pulling or holding required.Components either allow or prevent rail move-ment. The system’s long crossbars can berotated to match the slope of any attachment orframe rail. For any given vehicle, there may beseveral ways to secure the corners of the cen-ter section.

F.A.S.T. Anchoring Upgrade PackagePart No.

The F.A.S.T. Anchoring Upgrade packagefeatures several new components plusseveral other components that were pre-viously available as add-on accessoriesonly. The package includes the SpringBolt Vise Attachments (with bushings),Rail Vise Attachments, Riser Bars,Turnbuckle Assists, Tie Back Bracketsand a Tool Box for equipment storage.

Attaches to Universal Adapter Tubes orUniversal Clamping System anchoringstands. Serves as a base for all anchor-ing assemblies. Crossbars measure 63inches (1,606mm) long and can berotated to match the slop of attachmentsor rails.

Riser BarPart No. 539541

Three inch riser bars provide additionalheight for drive shaft clearance abovecrossbar.. The riser bars mate with thechannel in the crossbar and may occa-sionally be stacked two high in someapplications. Riser bars can be installedperpendicular to the crossbars to allowrail movement with the pull. (For exam-ple: when correcting diamond.)

Tie Back Brackets fit between theattachment and top of riser bar in tallanchoring applications. They provide anideal hookup point for turnbuckle assist /tie down chain applications.

Turnbuckle assists provide secondaryholding capability when used in con-junction with tie back bracket and tiedown chain. Turnbuckles feature a cylin-drical center unit with adjustable hooks.

L-Brackets allow rail movement in direc-tion of pulls or prevent movement inwrong direction. Slot allows access forbolting to rail or for straddling bolt pro-truding from rail.

Narrow rail vise secures box-shapedframe rails. It is primarily used in front ofvehicle’s center section; however, it canbe used in rear of center section insome applications.

Spring Bolt Vise attachments mate withthe design of spring / trailing arm mountbolts at rear of center section. Theattachment provides a secure hold andshould be used whenever both sides ofa spring bolt are accessible.

The accessories in this optional package increase the flexibility of the F.A.S.T. Anchoring System. The standard rail vise providesa broader gripping area when rail configurations allow its use. The hole adapters can be used to prevent fore/ aft and lateral move-ment of rails.

Streamliner Anchoring System & Optional Accessories
