The Journey Continues...

Page 3: Anatom Footwear Dealer Workbook 2012

Anatom® footwear is a culmination of almost 20 years of building our knowledge and understanding of how the foot works both biomechanically and physiologically.

When we say, ‘Interior Comfort. Exterior Performance.™’ we mean that the footwear has been designed from the inside out and that we have thought about every possible detail. There has been no compromise on interior shape, materials, components or manufacturing expertise.

All footwear needs to be cared for and Anatom® footwear is no different. With the appropriate care our footwear will provide many years of comfort andperformance. For this reason we have specifically partnered with Nikwaxbecause of their proven range of waterproofing and aftercare treatmentsand commitment to manufacturing in an environmentally and sustainable way. Nikwax and Anatom have also pioneered an annual footwear care partnership for all of the Anatom footwear.

®

As part of our own social and environmental commitment we have created an infrastructure to enable our customers to return their Anatom® footwear to us whenever they consider it has reached the end of its useable life. From here Anatom® will take responsibility for cleaning and refurbishing the footwear and then bringing it back into use through one of our charitable partners in the UK or abroad.

“Our Q2™ leather boot is available in two different volume Lasts”

The Foot

The foot is a complex, three dimensional, biomechanical wonder. It has the ability to support four times our body weight. As a mobile adaptor it can adapt to any terrain angle.

Apart from our head and hands no other part of the body perspires more than our feet. During a day’s hike it is quite normal for each foot to generate 400ml or one full cup of moisture per day.

Years of Experience

Over the last twenty years Anatom has built a solid reputation for its footwear training academy. During this time we have measured over 50,000 pairs of feet.

With this hands-on experience and what we have learned we have developed our own unique Anatom Comfort Lasts™ — the Comfort Last™ and Comfort Narrow Last™.

Two Lasts

performance our Q2 full-grain ™ leather boot comes in the two different volume Lasts.

These have been developed with Anatom’s direct input, in collaboration with our Italian design team using the research data from our many years of hands-on experience of foot

Full grain DBL™ upper

Our 2.5mm and 2.8mm DBL™

full grain leather upper provides great protection. Our single source, Italian full grain leather gives the best performance of water repellency, breathability, durability and comfort.

Tri.aria™ waterproof, breathable membrane

Waterproofness, breathability and durability – the heart of our tri:aria™ membrane. Allows moisture vapour to pass through yet prevents water from entering the footwear’s upper.

Anatomic Heel Cradle™

Our Anatomic Heel Cradle™ —

excellent support and stability to the heel bone. Its anatomical bottle-neck shape contours the

well as the heel.

Tri.aria™ open-cell foam cushioning

The cushioning of the upper within our footwear is critical to its interior comfort and performance. Our Tri.aria™ foam allows moisture vapour to pass through its open-cell structure and through the Tri.aria™ waterproof/breathable membrane.

Bio Form Frame™

The Bio Form Frame™ is calibrated for each size in every model providing the best performance

BFF™ is designed to optimise the breathability of the footwear while

structure.

Anatom® HDS™ upper

Our HDS™ ballistic material in our fabric boots is engineered to provide incredible durability without compromising breathability. Tested extensively, this tightly woven material will endure the harshest of mountain conditions.

Anatom® Boot Fastening

Like all our components our D-Rings and Hooks play a crucial role in our footwear’s overall

best materials and only use three part construction components. This design ensures ease of use and prolonged durability.

Vibram outsole®

Our Vibram® outsole provides tremendous grip in all weathers. Its durable compound ensures extended life and extremely high friction on all surfaces. Designed toexpel unwanted stones very effectively on all terrains.

Calibrated Triple-Flex™ midsole system

Triple-Flex™ calibrated midsole supports the foot during its adaptive phases, ensures the footwear flexes in the right place and provides the appropriate underfoot protection. Excellent lateral and torsional stability is due to the high quality Nylon or Composite material used.

High loft lambswool insole

Our high loft lambswool insole delivers optimum comfort for every foot in every type of condition, – hot, cold, moist or dry. Wool’s natural antimicrobial properties keeps moisture moving away from the foot whilst discouraging build-up of bacteria. With use the wool will felt providing extra durability.

Interface One™ lining

Our highly durable Interface One™ hydrophobic lining allows internal moisture from the foot and sock to pass through freely. This then can evaporate through the Tri.aria™ open-cell foam and membrane and ultimately the external outer material.

Bio Form Toe Protector™

The Bio Form Toe Protector™ is a generous space that provides excellent security for the toes. The density of the materials are increased to allow for improved comfort and protection without unnecessarily stiffening the boot.
