Prior to joining PolyU, he was an assistant professor at MIT from 2008 to 2012 and an associate professor at Singapore Management University from 2012 to 2016. He completed his Ph.D at The Warton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2008. He has published in several top journals including Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He is also on the Editorial Board of The Accounting Review and is a reviewer for many journals. “Overview of Valuation and Financial Modelling” by Thomas Lam Thomas Lam is the Senior Director, Head of Valuation & Consultancy of Knight Frank Hong Kong. He is responsible for overseeing the General Valuation and Mortgage Valuation Departments. He formerly headed the company’s Research & Consultancy Department in Greater China from 2011 to 2014. He is regularly featured in media for his views on Global, Asia, Mainland China and Hong Kong property markets, generating over 100 media hits per month from both global and regional media. He is a Chartered Surveyor and has extensive experiences in the real estate industry, with specific experience in market research, corporate advisory, valuation, real estate finance, investment advisory and business development in Asia Pacific markets. “Succeeding in Financial Advisory” by Edwina Tam Edwina is a partner in Deloitte, Hong Kong Office. She specializes in business and intangible asset valuations and corporate reorganization for both public and privately held entities involving mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, financial statement reporting under HKFRS/IFRS and US GAAP, tax reorganization, and litigation support. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CA, CPA), a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV), and an accredited member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). She currently serves on the board of the International Institute of Business Valuers. ’
