GENERALThis core commercial conifer plantation plan area can be broken downinto two fairly well defined areas. To the north on the poorer soils and more exposed, elevated ground there is less species diversity. To the south on the better, more sheltered sites there are opportunitiesto build on the existing diversity. The LMP has been significantly impacted on by the recent P ramoruminfestation.Lying between adjoining FES plantation to the south and extensiveopen hill ground to the north, the block is visually prominent from thecounty road network to the south.
