•Creates a window and conduit to global free and commercial environmental and risk

data, tools and services and allows a space for rapid innovation of these from the research

    sector

•A platform which is open access - thus allowing the wealth of data, tools and services

available globally to be sign-posted and accessible, thus avoiding continued duplication of

    efforts

•Sign post data available across the world that can be used for the assessment of and

verification of risk in accordance with global financial solvency regulations (e.g. EU Solvency

II), including greater transparency on modelled assumptions

•Encourages the integration and standardisation of data and modelling standards for

risk assessment, thus providing an understanding of levels of environmental and disaster risk,

beyond the insurance sector - into cities and industry - encouraging greater investment in

    resilient systems.

•Educate new markets for risk information, thus acting as a catalyst for growth in the

climate, adaptation and risk assessment sectors

Oasis for Resilient Cities and Adaptation - Architecture

    Stakeholder Interface

    The foundation consists of environmental

hazard and risk data, covering such domains

    as flooding, storm, and landslide.

The middle tier provides tools for the viewing

and manipulation of the data and links to third

    party service providers, advisory, and

consultancy to better understand the impacts

    and to develop adaptation plans.

The top tier provides access to the city and

local government officers and officials, critical

    infrastructure providers, citizens and

businesses. Access to confidential data is

    assured.
