NUTRITIONAL DIVIDES
MALNUTRITION is an important component of frailty in the elderly.
Aging active and healthy implies healthy behaviours during the entire course of life: adequate nutrition is to be referred to all age groups, with a specific focus on pregnancy, childhood and youth, menopause and aging.
UNDERNUTRITION is not the only issue.
Effective INTERVENTIONS are MULTIMODAL and take into account the entirety of needs that influence adequacy of
nutrition
