Lock-In Low Propane Prices Now! Sign Up Before July 1, 2015 There are few certainties in life, and propane prices are no exception. There is no way to predict what kind of weather we will have this coming winter. Possible extreme cold weather or sudden disruptions to the propane supply could send prices soaring just when you need propane the most. Luckily, there is one way you can escape the discomfort of propane price uncertainty: by arranging to pre-buy propane at a fixed-rate (available in 50-gallon increments) before it has a chance to climb.
The Summer Strategy for Surviving WinterDLE can buy large quantities of propane in the spring and summer at one fixed price for winter delivery. When the winter season arrives (often bringing higher propane prices with it, as a result of increased demand), Pre-Buy customers don’t have to worry. They can use their Pre-Buy gallons, locked in at lower summer purchase prices. Customers typically save a bundle with this program!
ACT NOW!Sign up for the Pre-Buy Program on or before July 1, 2015 by calling the DLE office nearest you (locations and phone numbers are conveniently located on page 2). Our customer service representatives will be happy to help you estimate your winter propane requirements.
Pay for your Pre-Buy purchase of propane in one lump sum on or before August 3, 2015.
Or…use the 8-month payment plan, available for a $25 set up fee, with the first payment due on or before July 1, 2015. Please note, this payment plan requires a credit card on file for automatic withdrawal.
Your Pre-Buy delivery of propane begins on or after Thursday, October 1, 2015.

Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986
To comply with Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, we are obliged to issue the following warning:
PROPANE contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm. State law requires us to warn you of the presence of these chemicals. Benzene, soot and formaldehyde are such chemicals. A trace amount of benzene may occur in propane, but will normally be consumed during combustion.
Exposure through leaking gas is possible. Soot and formaldehyde, byproducts of burning gas, are minimized by proper combustion. Delta Liquid Energy encourages all of its customers to use propane safely. You should read and follow all use, care, and manufacturer instructions for propane appliances and equipment. Proper ventilation and frequent inspection of propane appliances and equipment are highly recommended.
Our service technicians are available to check and adjust your propane gas appliances. A warning odor is added to propane so that leaks of unburned gas can be quickly detected. If gas odor is detected, call us immediately.

How BBQ-Savvy Are You?
When it comes to barbecuing, most people listen only to their gut instincts: as their stomachs start to grumble they fire up the grill and throw on the steaks, patties and hot dogs. But truly savvy grill-masters follow their other 5 BBQ Senses to operate backyard gas barbecues safely:
SIGHT• Clear the area around the grill so that
flammable objects are at least 10 feet away and the grill stands in a well-ventilated area.
• Do a quick Bubble Test: Check for gas leaks from hoses and connectors by brushing soapy water around valves and fittings; if bubbles arise, there is a leak. DO NOT use matches to check for leaks.
• Take a peek at the manufacturer instructions for operation, cleaning and maintenance to make sure you’re up to speed.
• Open the grill hood BEFORE lighting the grill.
TOUCH• When you’re not grilling, keep valves
closed (finger-tightened) and capped to ensure that gas is not escaping.
• When you’re ready to grill, have your match or lighter in hand before opening the gas valves so that you can ignite the gas immediately. (If your grill has a pilot light, first check that it’s lit.)
SOUND• Psssss! That soft whispering sound is
the sound of gas escaping into the air.
Dependable Propane Service Since 1936
If you hear this, turn OFF the gas valve and let the gas dissipate before lighting a match or using the igniter.
• Tick-Tick-Tick! If your grill’s igniting switch is making this sound, but not lighting, gas is escaping into the air RAPIDLY. Turn OFF the gas valve and let the gas dissipate completely before trying again. If the igniter fails to light after two or three tries, turn off the gas and replace the igniter switch.
• REMEMBER: Releasing gas before igniting the grill is a fire hazard and is very dangerous.
SMELL • Follow your nose: propane is odorized
so that even if you can’t hear or see a gas leak, you can smell it!
TASTE• Now you’re safe to grill and eat some
delicious barbecue! Bon appétit!

The award-winning Blue Bird Propane-Powered Vision school bus leads the industry as the most popular alternative fuel school bus, and with a Ford 6.8L engine, it offers the best performance and the largest fuel tank options available of any propane autogas powered school bus.
Here are a few reasons the brightest school districts are making the switch to the propane-powered Vision:
• It’s Cheaper. School districts can lower fuel costs by up to 40 percent and reduce maintenance costs over time by switching to propane autogas. Federal incentives and tax credits make propane vehicles even more affordable.
• It’s Cleaner. Propane autogas burns up to 20 percent less nitrogen oxide, 60 percent less carbon monoxide, and 24 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions than gas, and emits fewer particulate emissions.
• It’s Powerful. The Vision’s ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas fuel system delivers a strong, reliable driving experience with 362 horsepower and 457 pounds of torque, in any weather.
• It’s Convenient. There are thousands of propane refueling stations across the United States, and there are federal tax incentives available to cover the costs of installing new stations.
Help your school district envision a cleaner, brighter future with a propane-powered fleet. In addition to Blue Bird, Thomas Built, Collins and International Corporation also have an Autogas option. Learn more by contacting Ted Olsen of ARRO Autogas, a division of Delta Liquid Energy, at (855) ARROGAS.
Whether building a new house or updating an older home, heat is a primary concern: we need it to keep rooms warm and comfortable, to take hot showers, to cook our food and to dry our clothes. Propane out-performs electric and ensures continued performance even when the power goes out. Consider the following for your new or remodeled home:
Keep Cozy—without the Carbon Emissions! High-efficiency (HE) propane systems have a smaller carbon footprint than most other systems and electric heat pumps typically have CO2 emissions that are double those of HE propane furnaces.
Shower Yourself—in Savings! Get hot water faster while reducing the bill by as much as 60 percent with an Energy Star-qualified propane tankless water heater. These systems also boast 50 to 60 percent lower CO2 emissions compared with electric storage tank systems, in part due to their superior efficiency, recovery and heating rates. Propane tankless water heaters work only as needed (eliminating standby losses of many electric water heaters).
Cook like a Pro! Follow the chefs’ lead and use propane to enjoy the consistent heat and precise control of cooking.
Liberate Your Laundry: Speed up your chores by using a propane-powered clothes-dryer, offering faster drying and up to 20 percent reduced energy use.
Turn up the Ambiance: Relax by the fireplace knowing that propane provides significantly warmer and more energy efficient fires than electric or wood fireplaces.
