An Epistle from Paul: Who is Sharing With Whom?! – A woman was out shopping one day and decided to stop for a cup of coffee. She bought a bag of cookies, put them into her purse and then entered a coffee shop. All the tables were filled, except for one at which a man sat reading a newspaper. Seating herself in the opposite chair, she opened her purse, took out a magazine and began reading. After a little bit, she looked up and reached for a cookie, only to see the man across from her also taking a cookie. She glared at him; he just smiled at her. She resumed her reading without a word said. Moments later she reached for another cookie, just as the man also took one. Now feeling quite angry, she stared at the one remaining cookie – whereupon the man reached over, broke the cookie in half and offered her the bigger of the two pieces. She grabbed it and quickly stuffed it into her mouth as the man simply smiled at her, rose from his chair and left. Her coffee break was a bust. This whole matter really steamed this woman as she angrily opened her purse to put her magazine away. It was then she realized that her bag of cookies never made it outside her purse. All along she had unknowingly been helping herself to the cookies belonging to the man she had glared down across from her at the table! What is my point?! It really is more blessed to give than to receive. How do we know? The One from Whom all good things come and the One Who said so – our Lord and Savior, Jesus!!! Cantata – Sunday December 19th!

Our choir has and is in the process of preparing to present this Cantata in honor of our Lord’s birth. We are looking forward to Sunday, December 19th here at the building at 7 PM as to when this will be presented. In the past this has given us a great opportunity to invite and encourage neighbors and family members to come and be a part of this grand gathering. We hope you will plan to come and to

bring guests with you to this evening of praise and encouragment. We also anticipate having refereshments following the choir’s presentation. Take some cards (out on the table in the foyer) and pass these out to your friends and family. Use these to inform and remind guests to come and share with us in our celebrating our Lord’s birth through this cantata. Let’s use this opportunity to

Join Us on This Trip! For years Airstream trailers have been considered the standard by which to measure travel trailers. They have and continue to be built right up the road

from us at Jackson Center, OH. Thursday, November 30th, we will be taking the bus of those who would like to go with us on a tour of their manufacturing plant. The cost is right – Zero! Afterwards we will eat a meal together at the local restaurant called the Heidout Restaurant. We understand their homemade pie and their sandwich selection are “outstanding” and worth a try. There will be a signup sheet in the foyer this coming Sunday. Why not come?

Be Sure to Read It! If you have not read the insert in the bulletin from this past Sunday, we urge you to check this out. Our Missions Ministry Team printed up the mission budget for this fiscal year. It gives vivid insight into the Lord’s work here revealing just how mission minded the Lord’s Church in Eaton is… It also gives our new Christians and visiting friends insight into the fact that the Lord’s Church “puts Her money where her mouth is!” Again, if you have not seen this budget, get a copy and study it over well!!!

Just a Reminder!Periodically, we like to remind the church family that when there comes a time you are hospitalized or bedridden at home and would like to have the Lord’s Supper brought to you, simply let us know and our men will be more than happy to bring this to you. All we ask is that you give us a heads-ups letting us know you desire to be served the Lord’s Supper when you are not able to be present here!
