Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Department of Management Studies in association with Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi (ISTD - Islampur Chapter) organized 6th International Conference on “Redefining HR Practices for Sustainable Development” on 16th & 17th Feb. 2018. This Conference provided a platform to the academicians, industry persons, research scholar and students in management and allied disciplines. The first day of the conference was inaugurated by Hon. Prakash Rathod (Chairman and MD, CASPRO Group of Companies, Kolhapur) and Mr. Samual Jack (President, Association of African Students in India, New Delhi). The conference was inaugurated in presence of Prof. Shamrao Patil (Chairman, Rajarambapu Bank & Member, BOG, RIT), Dr. Mrs. Sushma Kulkarni (Director, RIT), Dr. Mrs. Hemlata Gaikwad (Convener & HOD, DMS) & Prof. Shrikant Karanjkar (Organizing Secretary) The second day of the conference was inaugurated by Dr. Santosh Bhave (Director, HR and IR, Bharat Forge Ltd., Pune) and Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh (Director General, MCCIA, Pune) as chief guest of the inaugural function. Dr. Santosh Bhave was delivered the excellent speech on emerging trends in HRM in corporate world. The panel discussion was conducted on the topic “Aligning HR Practices for Sustainable Development: A Need of the Hours”. The eminent personalities participated in the panel discussion was Prof. Yogesh Updhyay (Dy. Head HR, ARAI, Pune & Ex. President, ISTD, New Delhi), Miss. Varsha Ananthraman (Instrumentation Engineer, Proconvis Consultants Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Samual Jack (President, Association of African Students in India, New Delhi). The panel discussion was coordinated by Mr. Sumedh Gupte (Sr. Regional Manager, Business Standard, Maharashtra & Gujarat). The excellent plenary session was conducted by Mr. Harold D'Costa (CEO, Intelligent Quotient Security System, Pune) on the theme of “Cyber Compliance related to HR”. Then Mr. Tomio Isogai (Ayurveda Society in Japan) was conducted the session on present scenario of Indo – Japan relationship. Also Ms. Jidapa Thavarit (Sarawak, Malaysia) was conducted session on emerging trends in corporate HRM. Alumni Interactions

Above alumni visited Computer Science and Engineering department recently. Mr. Amit Tidke & his team

triggered discussion on recent current trends in IT industries. They suggested to take-up challenging

projects in the industries to address the current issues. This will helps students to get more opportunities

in industries.

Mr. Sagar Pawar and Prashant Kumbharkar had a discussion on Freelancing Projects. They said

Internet of Things could be the next big thing for the social innovation.
