• Students enrolled in the DEP are enrolled as full-time college students (12 units +) as “Special High School Student” California’s Ed Code sections 48800-48802

• Enrolled in participating high school Independent Study Program (ISP) on a part-time basis.

• Full-time on college campus and one day at the participating high school

• Increase college-going rate for Hispanic students in the

community

• Provide ACCESS to additional career and technical

education opportunities to high school students

• Provide access to higher education opportunities for

underrepresented, low income high school students.

• Expand partnership with two local high school districts

• Secure additional funding for the Tech Prep Program

1. Collect ADA for ISP FTE’s

2. Comply with California CDE High School Requirements

3. Complete application for participation – give permission for enrollment in DEP

4. Align ISP courses with RHC course of study

5. Issue high school diploma

1. Collect FTES for college courses

2. Matriculate students into the college

3. Waive tuition and student fees.

4. Enroll into courses- priority registration vs. non priority registration

5. Conform to college code of behavior/discipline

6. Provide college transcript to high schools
