Irregular Preterite IR and SER

Both verbs conjugate the same in preterite

tense… so how can you tell them apart?

The verbs we are working with are IRREGULAR verbs.

PATTERN.

These verbs are considered “irregular” because they DO NOT

HAVE a

SER is almost always an irregular verb. IR has no stem so it, too, is

almost always irregular.
