WE LOVE SHOES!

SO WE PROUDLY PRESENT OUR FIRST-EVER SHOE COLLECTION FOR AUTUMN / WINTER 2016. THEY ARE SHOES WITH CHARACTER. FOR MEN AND WOMEN WHO DON’T HESITATE TO SHOW THEIR INDIVIDUALITY.

WE ONLY USE THE HIGHEST-qUALITY COW LEATHER, WHICH IS TREATED WITH NATURAL WAXES AND OILS AND COLORED WITH NATURAL PIGMENTS. THE LEATHER’S OPEN STRUCTURE GIVES THE SHOES THEIR ROBUST CHARACTER.

OUR COLLECTION IS PRODUCED IN MEXICO ACCORDING TO TRADITIONAL METHODS IN A FACTORY THAT SPECIALIzES IN WESTERN BOOTS. THE SHOES’ PERFECT FIT, THEIR FOOTBED, AND THE INSIDE LEATHER LINING ENSURE A HIGH LEVEL OF COMFORT.

Vegetable full grain cow leather with a natural milled grain and two tone effect.

To create this nice touch, the leather is finished with natural waxes. Be aware: this collection is ready for everything that crosses its path. It contains a backpack as well as a special spot for a laptop.

Thanks to many years of experience, our partners at the Mexican shoe factory have acquired sophisticated knowlege in this technique.

ABOUT OUR WASTE

Of course we do everything to minimize our waste. For example, we never throw away leather.

The pieces of leather that don’t stand up to our quality test, are used in other products.

The process of tanning, oiling and waxing the leather, produce some waste. We make sure that none of this ends up in the natural environment.

ABOUT OUR PRODUCTION PROCESS

After cleaning and tanning the skins, they are ready for further use. Special waxes and oils can be added.

We use fish oil from our hometown, Amsterdam, as well as the best natural waxes from Italy and Spain.

ABOUT OUR COWS

Nearly all the skins we use, come from meat cows in the US. They’re not solely bred for their skin; the leather is a by-product.

The quality of our bags, belts and accessories is very important for Amsterdam Cowboys.

That is why we work with sustainable partners and the best tannery in Mexico.

ABOUT OUR TANNERYAND OUR WORKERS

All our workers in the tannery in Mexico are totally legal. The salary they get paid is fair and the working conditions are human.

Using child labour for our products is out of the question.

ABOUT OUR WATER USE

The water that is used for tanning leather is collected, filtered an re-used.

We make sure that none of it ends up in drinking water.

ABOUT EXOTIC SKINS

We never use exotic skins from animals like crocodiles, alligators and lizards.

The prints on our products are patterns that are embossed into the leather.
