September 9, 2013 we celebrate one extra year. We are living extra time. L__ r-r--r- __ Because of the severity of our Injures, the general perception was that we would never return to active missions. God has given us incredible grace to live, walk and to work. We have been back in Guatemala since the early June. During our first three months back on site, we have seen 5,960 children, youth and adults pray to receive Christ in our One Way outreaches across the country; in the Quetzaltenango area, the Guatemala City area and in the Santa Maria de Jesus area. Our Summer One Way TeamMinistry always works better when it is not donealone. Debbie and I are so blessed to have a teamaround us. Our summer ministry team representsonly a fraction of those who are serving with OneWay Guatemala. They help LIS host visiting missionsgroups, lead outreaches, run errands, and assist inmany other tasks.

One Way GuatemalaOne Way Guatemala is anoutreach to children and youth thatis especially focused onevangelism to ages 4-14. Bymost accounts, nearly 85% ofconversions to Christ are betweenthose ages.

Chapin + Gringo =Guatemalans often refer tothemselves as "Chapin:" AsNorth Americans are sometimesknown as "Gringo.'

We decided to put those twowords together and make a newword. "Chapingo"

We announce to those attendingour outreach programs that ourteam is made up of both Chap insand Gringos and that makes usChapingros.

It has become such a popularword we printed T-shirts with thedesign. Our Guatemalan lawyerhas asked us to register the wordand logo.

STL Van DeliveredThank you to Alabama Youth anKentucky Youth Ministries forthe purchase of a 16 passenger2013 Toyota Hiace, our newSpeed the Light van.

In July. Rodney Goodlett. aYouth Alive Home Missionarywas able to present the keys toLIS on behalf of Speed the Light.

This vehicle will permit us togreatly expand out One WayGuatemala outreaches.
