Writing Activities
In writing we are working on writing complete sentences. A complete sentence begins with a capital letter, has finger
spaces between words and ends with the appropriate punctuation. In writing, we are not looking for words to be spelled
correctly. We are looking for students to stretch out the words and write the sounds they hear.
Monday – Interactive Writing
We miss our kinder kids and were hoping we can start writing to each other. Each week on Monday, we will
provide an open ended question for the students to answer. Once they answer our question, please
encourage them to ask us a question. Please either send us a picture of their writing for us to respond to
through Remind or through email.
Question: Have you been helping out around your house? Example: putting dishes away, feeling the dogs
Remember to use complete sentences when writing a response! A complete sentence will restate the
question in the response so the reader knows what is being answered.
Tuesday – Opinion Writing
