Paramecium
• Unicellular organisms• Use cilia for movement• Produce asexually• Heterotrophic • Have a contractile
vacuole to pump out excess water.
Euglena
• Plant like protest.• Unicellular organisms• Both plant and animal
characteristics.• Lack a cell wall.• Are photosynthetic and
most have chlorophyll.
Dinoflagellates
• Have cell walls.• Have thick cellulose
plates.• Come in different
shapes and sizes.• Contain chlorophyll • Have 2 flagella's
Green Algae
• Phylum Chloropyta• Most diverse algae with
more then 7,000 species
• Contains chlorophyll• Most live in freshwater,
but some live in oceans.• Can be unicellular
colonial, or multicellular in organization.
Slime Mold
• Come in a variation of colors.
• Live in cool moist places where they can grow on damp organic material.
• Two types of slime molds• Plasmodia and cellular
slime molds.• Are animal like during most
of their life cycle.• Make spores to reproduce.
Fungi
• Live everywhere.• Many species live in
temp ranging from 20 C to 30 C.
• Have cell walls.• Are multicellular.• Use thread like
filaments called hyphae to branch out.
Mushroom
• Produce sexually.• The mushroom is the
reproductive structure of the fungus.
• Produce with a + or – strain.
• Some have no asexual reproductive stage.
• Outside structure is composed of a stalk and a cap.
