THE SHERLOCK HOLMES ESCAPE BOOK: THE ADVENTURE OF THE BRITISH MUSEUMCharles Phillips & Melanie Frances
Taking on the role of Sherlock Holmes, in this new adventure readers find themselves trapped with Watson in the Enlightenment Gallery of the British Museum after a curator collapses in the Egyptian Collection. With King George V due to arrive at the nearby tube station, and rumours of an anarchist plot, Holmes and Watson must find their way through the museum, and fathom the involvement of both Mycroft and Colonel Sebastian Moran, if they are to win their freedom and save the day.

The Sherlock Holmes Escape Books series is a spin on the current urban craze for ‘Escape Rooms’, in which participants are locked in rooms, and must solve the puzzles they find there to make good their escape. Here, the book becomes the
locked room, the pages become the path, and the reader can take on a challenge every bit as brain-teasing from the comfort of their own home. Visual clues are hidden among the intriguing illustrations; fiendish riddles, logic puzzles, and timed challenges
unlock hidden doors and reveal the direction of travel; and mathematical problems provide the codes required to follow the correct path. There are maps and mazes to explore; references to the original Sherlock Holmes adventures to unravel; and a code-wheel that
holds the key to unlocking the next page. Solve the puzzles correctly to escape. Get them wrong, and you will find yourself further and further along the path to your own demise.

THE SHERLOCK HOLMES ESCAPE BOOK: THE ADVENTURE OF THE LONDON WATERWORKSOrmond Sacker
You are Sherlock Holmes… at home at 221b Baker Street, when a mysterious letter is posted through your door. What is the meaning of the message cut from newsprint? Is there a clue hidden in the letters? Could there be more to discover in the fog-bound alleys of London town?

NEW YORKERSSally Davies
New Yorkers presents over 70 intimate portraits of people in their apartments and studios – captured in unique style by renowned New York street photographer Sally Davies – along with their testimonies and tales, and their illuminating observations on what it means to be a New Yorker. Considering the origins and ambitions of its subjects, it captures an intoxicating glimpse of New York’s alternative scene before its actors are washed away on a wave of gentrification. A cast of drag artists, store owners, doctors, dog walkers, psychics, cab drivers, writers, artists, tattoo artists, gallery owners, photographers, film producers, designers, dancers and musicians (including such legendary New Yorkers as Laurie Anderson, Danny Fields and William Ivey Long) reveal the diversity, eccentricity, creativity and humanity at the heart of this iconic city.

THE CREATIVE GUIDE TO THE END OF THE WORLDLucy Irving
It’s time to rediscover your inner caveperson and unpack your apocalypse survival kit. This handy guidebook includes creative projects and ideas for alternative ways of thinking about the world around us, as well as survival skills such as shelter-building, foraging and water purification. It also includes sections on mindfulness and gratitude, to make the most of the space for reflection which a break from the ever-present screen can provide! Featuring Lucy Irving’s beautiful illustrations and covering a range of topical issues from climate change to digital dependency the book is divided into six sections using tabs: The Screen is Dead, Digital is Dead, My Soul is Dead, The Planet is Dying, Apocalypse Alert, and Survivor’s Guide and suggests ways to counter current trends in a reassuring, humorous and tongue-in-cheek way.

“ THERE’S THIS THEORY CALLED THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. SO, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THAT THEORY BECOMES A REALITY AND YOU HAVE TO ESTABLISH YOUR OWN PLACE IN THE FOOD CHAIN?”
Lucy Irving is an artist, illustrator and storyteller, living and working in Brighton, England, who is best known for her bold and graphic work in digital and sculptural form. She has a playful and mindful interest in the world around her – especially the juxtaposition of nature and technology – that encourages her artistic pursuits.

MISS GOD
When 11-year-old Olivia meets an old woman walking on the beach who claims to be God, her first doubts arise simply because she has always been told that God is a man. But when ‘Miss God’ asks for her help in writing Ten Commandments to give them meaning in the modern world, she starts to think in different ways. This book provides a philosophical and mindful way of thinking about our beliefs and how we might reinterpret old wisdoms.

“ EVERYONE CAN IMAGINE GOD AS THEY WISH. AS AN OLD MAN WITH A LONG GREY BEARD, A GOLDEN SUN, LOVE, AN ELEPHANT OR A TREE. AS LONG AS YOUR FAITH HELPS YOU TO BE HAPPY AND PEACEFUL, IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN.”
Claus Mikosch is a writer and documentary film-maker, who lives in Germany and Spain. He writes the blog, Reflections on Changing Times, and his films include Anicca – Embracing Change. After leaving school, Claus travelled the world and fell in love with India. There he heard the tales that would inspire the Little Buddha stories, which have sold 200,000 copies in the German edition.
