The M59A1 APC-T is a modified APC M59. On the M59 the AP cap was crimped on while the A1was secured by soldering.

The tracer element gives a burn time of 3 seconds.

The propellant charge was .14 kg of FNH that gave a muzzle velocity of 624 mps.

The penetration capability was approximately 25mm at 450 metres.
