• Yarn: Any color worsted-weight

• Hook: G (4.00mm)

• 9mm safety eyes

• White and yellow felt

• Polyester fiberfill

• Small scissors

• Tapestry needle

Body:

1: Sc 6 in magic ring (6)

2: 6 inc (12)

3: [Sc, inc] 6 times (18)

4: [2 sc, inc] 6 times (24)

5: [3 sc, inc] 6 times (30)

6-17: Sc (30)

Don’t fasten off or cut the yarn yet!

Eyes:

Cut out two 1 inch circles out of white felt. Fold the eye in half and make a small cut near the edge of each circle so you can insert the safety eye. Don’t attach the back yet though!

Now you are going to squeeze the top of the owl and line up stitches so you can find the middle and place the eyes correctly. Make sure your last stitch of row 17 is on the right hand side.

Attach the eyes 3 stitches apart between rows 12 and 13.

Cut out a small triangle piece out of orange/yellow felt for the beak.

Glue or sew the beak between and on top of the eyes.

(Optional) Glue or sew the outer edges of the eyes in place.

Now that the face is done, it’s time to finish him up! Pick up where you left your yarn. Ch 2, sl st in same stitch and the stitch lined up behind it.

Continue to sl st in each stitch across to close the top. Add stuffing as you go.

After you complete the last sl st, ch 2 and sl st in the same stitch.

Fasten off and weave in the end.
