Our mission has also reached as far as Mexico, Venezuela, Panamá, Peru, Argentina, Spain and India. 2012 is a year of growing and expanding R.Evolución Latina's programs that inspire lives through the arts. We are committed to making a difference. How? We have offered 60 scholarships to adult artists to further their performing arts careers with the commitment of giving back to the community. These artists are helping us reach over 1,000 children and youth in schools and community centers through our unique educational programs. R.Evolución Latina’s educational programs are the platform to our main production of the year, Amigo Duende, a New Children’s Musical. In collaboration with Salgado Productions, we are bringing Broadway talent as the creators of this project. In October 2012, we will open doors to over 3,000 people, including children, parents, teachers and general audiences to understand the power of imagination and education through a live theater experience. We want to expand the possibilities of business by partnering with corporations like yours in ways that will be mutually beneficial. Overview

Amigo Duende, a New Children’s Musical is a R.Evolución Latina production in collaboration with Salgado Productions and is based on the children’s play by Puerto Rican writer, actress, and educator, Flavia Lugo de Marichal. In a world where childhood innocence is often in jeopardy as youth is being encouraged to grow up faster and faster, this new children’s musical aims to question the balance between preserving our children’s imagination and the guidance they need to receive towards their inevitable growth and participation in society. At the same time, this musical incorporates values such as commitment, respect, diversity, heritage, traditions, and self-respect. Objectives:

● To present the need between a world of education and the childhood natural instinct of imagination.

● To educate, empower and inspire kids, parents, teachers to go beyond in the classroom and at the root of their education.

● To challenge them to enjoy learning, life and art.● To develop the next generation of theatre goers.● To build a community as we collaborate and unite efforts to bring a

production that fulfills RL’s mission.● To raise the bar of Latino theater productions while encouraging the

artistic Latino community to dare to go beyond.

The secondary demographic are families, teachers and parents.Other markets: Youth 12+, adults, theatre goers.

Community Outreach: R.Evolución Latina is incorporating the subject of imagination in all school and community outreach programming throughout the five boroughs of New York. One of the community organizations that is benefiting from this now is the Mercy Center in the Bronx, which is participating in a 10 week workshop utilizing IMAGINATION as a tool for children to use towards anti-bullying.

People Involved:Jaime Camil, one of the most well-known actors in Latin America, continues to validate our mission by sponsoring Amigo Duende's development workshop now in May 2012.

Research has shown that ARTS's programming provides children with advanced skills to creative problem-solving, innovative and critical thinking, enhanced ability to work with others, and generally, to becoming better adjusted and more well-rounded adults.
