University Center of Chicago represents Amicus’ finest achievement in project development of new student resi-dence. As awarded by Midwest Construction, the facility holds the “Project of the Year—Residential/Housing” title for 2004. A unique urban, mixed-use project in Chicago’s South Loop, the UCC provides beds for 1,720 students rep-resenting many Chicago colleges and universities living together in the nation’s first residence hall of its kind. De-signed by Antunovich Associates with VOA Associates, the finished building measured 710,000 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: August 2004 Budget: $151,000,000

Roosevelt University’s Albert A. Robin Campus in suburban Schaumburg has been catering to undergraduate and grad-uate students in the northwest suburbs since 1976. In 2013 Amicus was working with the University in an off-campus dorm for attending students. Intended to follow a phased process; Phase 1 was designed immediately adja-cent to the suburban campus and would have accommo-dated 213 beds in single, double, and quad style apart-ments. Architectural work was done by FitzGerald Associ-ates Architects, the finished building would have meas-ured 184,605 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: August 2014 Budget: $17,000,000

Amicus working in conjunction with US Equities as Own-er’s Representative were responsible for the establish-ment of a new undergraduate state of the art residence hall. This new residence hall contains 900 student beds, two resident master apartments, and nine resident head apartments. Pedestrian activity around the new hall has helped University of Chicago add to the vitality of the sur-rounding neighborhood. The finished facilities were de-signed by Goody Clancy . The “campus in the clouds” is back with this renovation of the historic 19-story building built in 1929, which had been previously unoccupied for several years. Cleveland State University’s Fenn Tower was unveiled to the public on Au-gust 15, 2007 in all its 1929 grandeur, just in time for fall semester where it will serve as luxurious new student housing for up to 438 students. In November 2010 Amicus was retained by The Resurrec-tion Project (“TRP”) to assess the feasibility of a proposed off-campus housing facility in the Pilsen Neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. This 100 bed facility with 1st floor retail gives students access to resources typically not available in the traditional off-campus student housing market cre-ating a “Live and Learn” environment unique in the com-munity and available to a multitude of students. The building was designed by UrbanWorks, Ltd. In 2013 La Casa was awarded 1st place for the Richard H. Driehause Foundation Award for Architectural Excellence in Com-munity Design. Completion Date: November 2010 Budget: $12,000,000

After Amicus’ undertaking of building management, this historic building now operates at 100% occupancy with a waiting list through September 2013. It was a unique management plan and carefully tailored approach that led to the stabilization of a property that might have oth-erwise been lost as a profitable venture. The Euclid Avenue Housing Foundation (EAHF) and Cleve-land State University have developed approximately 600 new on-campus beds targeted at upper division students, in two phases. Both apartments and suite-style units are incorporated into the design. Amicus assisted the EAHF and CSU with the development and management of the Request for Proposal Process. Four Residential Buildings placed in the Wyoming land-scape with the mindful attention of renown classical ar-chitect Thomas Gordon Smith. Each dormitory provides three levels of community. Stu-dents form smaller groups to one another for the care of their part of the dormitory. The housing is anticipated to house 400 students in 76,000 gross sq. ft. The development proposes the construction of 20 stories of student housing in 2, 3 and 4-bedroom suite style con-figurations for a total of 800 beds. Amenities include a 6700 sq. ft. cafeteria, music rooms, conference rooms and an exercise center. The new building will house wind turbines on the roof to reduce electric dependency. Wind Tower was designed by Harley Ellis Devereaux . Completion Date: Ongoing Budget: $35,000,000

Amicus’ senior partner’s efforts while serving as Execu-tive Vice President at DePaul are exemplified in a student housing project named “Centennial Hall” to commemo-rate DePaul’s 100th anniversary. This mixed-use facility includes DePaul student apartments, administrative space, and a Dominick’s “Fresh Store” supermarket on the first two floors. This undergraduate student housing facility built by Ami-cus’ senior partner’s efforts while serving as Executive Vice President at DePaul represents an example of efforts to provide excellent student housing while coming in on time and under budget. This facility provides housing for 366 students in “semi-suite” configurations. Also incorpo-rated into the design are student lounges and kitchens included on every floor. Designed by Antunovich Associ-ates Clifton-Fullerton Hall measured 117,950 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: January 2000 Budget: $18,900,000

An example of the accelerated DePaul University shift to-ward becoming a premier urban residential campus. It is a 300-bed undergraduate housing facility catering espe-cially to freshmen. This undergraduate student housing facility, completed in conjunction with 2350 North Clifton by Amicus’ senior partner’s efforts while serving as Executive Vice President at DePaul, and provides housing for 244 students in "semi-suite" configurations. This property has gained tremen-dous prominence, and several institutions from across the United States have come to tour the facility. Designed by Antunovich Associates the residence hall measured 71,350 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: January 2000 Budget: $13,300,000

Working under an extremely tight schedule the partner of Amicus, while Executive Vice President at DePaul, oversaw the major renovation of the 31-year old Munroe undergraduate residence hall. Munroe Hall now provides housing for 325 students in addition to new meeting and classroom space, which is intended to quickly establish a tight-knit community among incoming freshmen. De-signed by Antunovich Associates Munroe Hall measured 87,784 gross sq. ft. Completion Date: January 2000 Budget: $8,700,000
