Who gets your property if you do not have a will?
Assets without a named beneficiary or joint owner (ex: life insurance, 401ks), pass through probate. If you do not have a will, the state decides who gets all of your stuff; stocks, bonds, cars, houses, couches, etc. This chart lets you see who will get all of those items.
