We don't know how anyone else feels about the situation but the sooner summer time gets here the better our dispoSitions will be. A lillie snow, ice and cold is o.k. but this is ridiculous!

Our attendance at the Center held up fairly well for the situation but the first pleasant day of sunshine last Tuesday gave a 101 of people the urge and "Oomph" to get up and get out.

And our chefs reacted favorably and gave us an excellent noon meal, the rec room tables were well occupied with game players and atl of 1\ sudden we're back on a even keel!

Nexi Monday is board of directors evening to entertain witli Gene Alexander hosting the event. Serving begins at 5 p.m. Gene promiSes the first courses but since he is a diabetic and must avoid dessens we'll be on our own! Not to worry· we have plenty of those who have a "sweet tooth" in our group so the situation is WIder control.

An added attraction for the evening is install, tion of officers with Dr. Freeman presiding. AnniversariFs and birthdays will be.observed. A business mooting will be held followed by table games in the Tee room. So all you guys and gals come on out I11III take pan in all the activities.

Tuesday of next week is blood pressure day courtesy of the Home Health Nurses.

Wednesday, January 27th Wanda Phifer and Rebeeca Cline of Lubbock

will be at the Center 10 diseuss living trusts I11III living wilts inunediately after lunch. More information wilt be available later.

Thursday Betty is off to SPAG and Friday we vote on volunteer of the month.

Friday, January 22nd the flt'St dance of the year wiD be held at the Center. Due to the musicians, the Frontiersmen • work schedule, dancing will beain at 7:30 p.m, instead of \he original 7:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 per person and cookies, punchandcoffeewill be served. So all you guys I11III gals come on out and join in the dancing or just sit. visit I11III enjoy the music.

We regret to report Lorene Bryan's brother LeRoy Wagganer is in critical condition following surgery.

Recent visitors to the Cenler are Shorty and Maureen Bourland of Lubbock, R.C. and Faye Slevem and Belly Long.

We stand COI1'eCted R.C. informed us they are now membersl

Memorials have, been given for R.D. Gray, fatherofDerald Gray by Paul and Janie Brownd, J.C. and Novella Sneed, Vera Meester, Belty and Roy Kirkland and laVerne Thornton.

SOS! A van driver is badly needed at the Center. Any and all prospecl9 can contact Betty at 830·2428.
