Toshiba installed a Gas Insulated Transformer (GIT) at Ameren Missouri’s Osage Plant, which supplies hydroelectric power to the 75-year-old Bagnell Dam. Ameren Missouri will replace all of the plant’s existing oil-insulated transformers with gas-insulated units by 2013.
