Our range of forage grass seed mixtures is designed to provide the grower with high quality forage by utilising today’s modern and extensively trialled varieties. The mixtures following offer short and long term options for both cutting and grazing systems and whilst we feel that these formulations cover most seeding requirements, we do offer a bespoke special mixture service and would be pleased to advise on your requirements.

HAYMAX SHORT TERMA blend of italian and hybrid ryegrass to produce quality hay or haylage. The mixture is of two years duration and is based only on diploid species. Cutting (2 years)

6.00 kg Holesome Hybrid Ryegrass4.00 kg Alamo Italian Ryegrass4.00 kg Fox Italian Ryegrass14.00kgs per acre

• Will provide excellent yields of either hay or haylage• Fox provides very good early spring growth• Mixture can be cut late May/early June, multi-cut

options per annum• Varieties have excellent disease resistance

HAYMAX FULL TERMA mixture of 5 years duration provides excellent yields and can be used for both hay and haylage. We do not recommend mixing diploid and tetraploid varieties as this can lead to uneven conditioning of the sward, therefore we only use diploid varieties.Cutting (3 - 5 years)

3.50 kg Genesis Early Perennial Ryegrass2.50 kg Premium Int Perennial Ryegrass2.00 kg Butara Int Perennial Ryegrass2.00 kg Orantas Int Perennial Ryegrass2.00 kg Twystar Late Perennial Ryegrass2.00 kg Promesse Timothy14.00kgs per acre

• Excellent resistance to foliar diseases• Outstanding yields for both hay and haylage with

late season grazing• Timothy improves summer palatability and colour

of the mown sward

HORSEMAX PADDOCKThis long term mixture has been formulated to support the diverse demands horses place on a sward. A horse paddock has to not only provide a source of food but also an exercise area, placing great stress on the sward. Couple this with the need to produce some winter forage and it is obvious why some horse paddocks look completely bare by the end of the summer season. Cutting & Grazing (5 years plus)

• Extreme sward density• Excellent wear tolerance• Can be “shut up” for hay if required

BETTER ESTABLISHMENT WITH iSEED

The mixtures included on this page are available as an iSeed option. iSeed is a coating applied to grass and clover seeds containing selected amounts of essential nutrients, which are immediately available to the emerging seedling.

• Feeds the seed not the weed or existing grass• Significantly improves uptake efficiency• Increased root and shoot extension• Average of 30% more viable plants per acre• Improves stress tolerance• Environmentally friendly• No application costs • As this option combines seed and fertiliser, sowing

rates are doubled• Supplied in 20 kg bags

VERSAMAX MEAT & MILKNO CLOVERA longer term very high quality mixture suitable for the dual operations of cutting and grazing. This blend will provide excellent yields under both management systems. The use of large quantities of tetraploid ryegrass will improve sugar levels and make the ley more palatable leading to greater voluntary animal intake. The addition of timothy will also help with early spring growth and summer palatability. Cutting & Grazing (3 – 5 years)

3.50kg Calvano1 Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass3.00kg Godali 1 Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass (T)3.00kg Pastour Late Perennial Ryegrass3.00kg Polim Late Perennial Ryegrass (T)1.50kg Promesse Timothy14.00kgs per acre

4.00kg Premium Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass3.00kg Twystar Late Perennial Ryegrass3.00kg Tivoli Late Perennial Ryegrass (T)2.50kg Calibra Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass (T)1.00kg Promesse Timothy0.50kg Dual Purpose White Clover blend14.00kgs per acre

• Excellent early spring growth, higher percentage of late varieties for improved grazing

• Timothy for extra palatability, summer production and tolerance to cold and wet conditions

• Tivoli exhibits a very high figure on the NIAB recommended list for resistance to the disease drechslera, which now seems to be of equal importance to farmers as crown rust

• Twystar is a UK bred late diploid perennial ryegrass with excellent crown rust and mildew resistance

• The mixture offers the benefit of a higher percentage of late perennial ryegrass which produces a sward of lower stem to leaf ratio forage

VERSAMAX FLEXICROPThis is a medium to long term mixture combining the very high output of hybrid ryegrass and the quality and persistence of perennial ryegrass into one of the most popular dual purpose leys within the ForageMax range. As the name implies, Flexicrop fulfils a dual purpose role, offering excellent performance for both grazing and conservation.Cutting & Grazing (3 – 5 years)

2.50kg Pastour Late Perennial Ryegrass2.00kg Solid Hybrid Ryegrass (T)2.00kg Tetragraze Hybrid Ryegrass (T)2.00kg Solomon Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass2.00kg Calibra Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass (T)2.00kg Glencar Late Perennial Ryegrass (T)0.50kg Dual Purpose White Clover blend13.00kgs per acre
