Amelia was born in july 24, 1897 she lived in Kansas,US. When she was born she lived with her Grandma and Grandpa. She loved outdoors and playing with her sister Grace, her nickname was Pidge.Amelia was also a tomboy. She was an explorer since she was Little.

Amelia's dream career Amelia took a 10 minute ride with a famous air racer (Frank Hawks)

and it changed her life. She liked it so much she decided she wanted to learn how to fly. She needed to save $1,000 so she did lots of little jobs until she finally had enough money. She learned how to fly!!!

Amelia was famous because she was the First women fly solo across the atlantic Ocean.
